Pokeddexy Day 29: Scariest Pokemon

It was banished for its violence. It silently gazed upon the old world from the Distortion World.

for the scariest pokemon, i immediately knew i wanted to draw giratina! as a kid, giratina was possibly the coolest thing i had seen EVER (honestly, it still ranks pretty far up there). giratina's design is so graphic that i struggled to make her look creepy (it's those damn stripes!), but i think i finally succeeded with this design! she looks otherworldly and frightening, but also powerful and even beautiful. i've literally been trying to come up with something for giratina for months now, so it feels amazing to finally create something i'm satisfied with!

Pokeddexy 2024 | Day 28 - Cutest (Alcremie... Again)

Since those two kids are always the last go home, she'd ask them to help her clean up to kill time. They'd clean up the toys, and occasionally she would take them to the roof, which we only take the children up on a monthly basis, to help her. They have a... rivalry when it comes to getting her attention, so they always race to see, say, who could get more toys cleaned, or who could hang up more towels. ...If that helps them learning how to help others, there's no hurt letting it continue, I suppose.

Pokeddexy Day 28: Cutest Pokemon

so remember when i said i was getting a bit too ambitious with these prompts and they were taking way too long to do? well i blame this piece! i was entranced by the idea of a preppy, retro piplup schoolboy, but once i sketched him, i thought, well, turtwig is pretty cute, too. and then once turtwig was there, i couldn't leave out chimchar! the sinnoh starters were just too adorable for me not to draw all of them on their walk to school!

welp I OFFICIALLY have done more pokeddexy than I did last year! I meant to draw this guy last year but I... got stuck on his design woops

the style of these might change wildly/get messier cause i'm experimenting with a couple different techniques this month, with this one i wanted to try shading properly and posing him a little more interestingly hahaha

This is Riku, the sister of Ren and the daughter of the Empoleon gijinka! She’s a little hesitant and cautious, but she’s very loving and creative and believes the best in people! i knew i wanted to design another legendary for the coolest pokemon category, and i think yveltal is SO COOL. i can't help but love dark types – they make my inner emo child so happy. and doing a high fashion design makes my adult self happy, so it was a win-win!

for a starter pokemon, of course i had to go to my beloved gen 5 and choose serperior! in my two playthroughs of pokemon black, i picked snivy, and both times she was a girl, so this is for her! i love beautiful swordswoman serperior <3

Pokeddexy Day 25: Legendary

oh my, i don't know why i thought i could finish this in a single day, lol. i've been working on these designs for reshiram and zekrom for awhile now, and i loved this idea so much that i wanted to do it justice and give it the detail that it deserved! i'm not sure if they truly look like opposites – reshiram looks kind of angelic and zekrom looks like a sci-fi character – but i tried to keep some similar motifs (the hair, the chest diamond thing) to make them look like companions. i'm really happy with how it turned out, even if it took several days longer than i expected!

This is Ren!! :D He's one of two Wooper kids that the Empoleon gijinka adopted c: Ren is a very silly kid, and they love being around people! He loves swimming and helping his dad with his work!

DAY 30 - CHANDELURE ☆

the brother of the shieldon from day 16! both of them died, but shieldon was revived while chandelure stayed a ghost... both of them mourn the other's death not knowing the other is still around :')

this is the first daily for a month challenge i've finished, so i'm really proud of myself!! this was the first design i did for the challenge, glad to end on a fun note!

Today, we have an Empoleon gijinka!! He is a fisherman for the village, he enjoys the simple things in life and old traditions. He's very calm, polite, and laidback and good friends with the Magcargo Gijinka! Also haha I didn't draw any fish in his nets because I got lazy CHCHGFYFY

Breaking news: Another aristocrat found dead in his bedroom! Yet another case in the series, where nobles left and right seem to be murdered for no reason! Police said there are no evidence to link back to the murderer, but there's seems to always be burn marks around the crime scene...

... Don't really know what direction I was going for his design tbh... Also something something kills evil nobles to liberate the poor.
