Quick post about something I noticed, Vaggie..., one Chaggie shipper posted about how Charlie and Vaggie are cute together and ok, most of the screenshots are of them together as a couple in the show, but... thanks to this person caught my eye two situations from the final fight, which in my opinion are rather disturbing and reflect poorly on the future of Vaggie and her relationship with Charlie. We know that Charlie wants to bring redemption and believes that everyone deserves a second chance, she gave this example Vaggie's second chance, forgiving her lie about being an angel (apart from the fact that it was too quick and unnatural in my opinion), we see her convince Lucifer to have mercy on Adam. And below we have two interesting situations with Vaggie:

First, when Charlie and Vaggie fight together, Charlie enjoys fighting with Vaggie together:

And after a while:

Charlie sees Vaggie murdering an angel, sees her aggression, and instead of the smile and joy on Charlie's face, we see more shock and disbelief at how her beloved girl could be so brutal..., as if she was only now starting to see that she didn't know Vaggie 100%

And the last screenshot from the moment when Niffty kills Adam and you know Niffty, it's Niffty, crazy and unbalanced, while everyone else is terrified of it, including Lucifer, everyone except... Vaggie..., the only person who (apart from Niffty) is happy from Adam's death:

In my opinion, Charlie and Vaggie only know each other superficially, especially Charlie doesn't know Vaggie, she didn't know she was an angel, she was shocked by her brutality in fighting, I'll be surprised if in the future, in the next season(s), we don't get more rifts between them, in my opinion, this relationship is based on superficial knowledge of each other, the fact that they have been together for 5 years (I read somewhere that they have been together for that long, please correct me if not) does not mean that they know each other, and it is clearly visible that they don't , they probably lived together in peace, without any big situations or events, and now, when the plot starts to happen, more and more, it may turn out at some point that these two women who supposedly love each other are completely strangers to each other (as a certain Greek proverb goes: "You learn more about a person after an hour of playing than after a year of talking"), I'm sorry, but the more I look at Chaggie's relationship and compare it with other Viv couples, including those from Hazbin Hotel, that we can say that they are partially canon, like Huskerdust or Cherri and Sir Pent, and even Vox and Val in my opinion have more chemistry than Chaggie, I can't help but feel that this relationship was created only as bait... , which will fall apart in the future...

I realized that Charlastor has parallels with not only Lucilith, but also Stolitz.

In the case of Lucilith, Charlie is a (half) angelic being with big dreams who was not accepted by her people and Alastor is a human-turned-demon who broadcasted his powers through Hell to Garner respect and fear from the other demons.

While with Stolitz, Charlie has trouble managing her project and getting it to succeed and Alastor is this shady benefactor who has the power and means to help her in her endeavors for a price.

Not only that, all three of these ships are involved in going against the status quo or natural order of things by associating with someone lower than their station (Lucifer was an archangel/Lilith was a human, Stolas was an Ars Goetia/Blitzø was an imp and Charlie was a hellborn princess/Alastor was a sinner overlord) and are going through huge issues in regards to their relationships that they need to overcome (Lucifer and Lilith split, Stolas plans to break things up with Blitzø and Charlie is involved in untrustworthy deal with Alastor that may lead to betrayal).

Despite the fact Charlie and Alastor are never going to be canon, it is an amazing coincidence that they share parallels with two canon ships. Charlastor continues to surprise me with the amount of layers it has, it saddens me that so many dismiss their immense chemistry and despise us for loving such a beautiful ship.

Holy shit I never noticed how similar the dynamics are?? I did see a post once pointing out how Charlie and Al are similar to Luci and Lilith, but now that you mention the Stolitz similarities it does make a lot of sense!

The main reason I think the Vees are a poly v rather then all dating eachother(other then the pun) is because I just. I think Velvette is smart enough to know dating Valentino is a Bad Idea. Like getting emotionally invested in that man is a mistake under ANY circumstances. Kinda like how, historically, Anna of Cleves ended up staying friends with King Henry after their divorce and said something like he's chill to be friends with but she would pity whoever ended up being his next wife? Like she gets a front row seat to the way Val treats Vox(which I stand by my previous statements: ISN'T VERY WELL) and doesn't want any part of that shit lmfao.

Hey you know what's super funny about the idea of "good bi rep"?

For a character to be canonically bi you have to make sure and establish that they're attracted to multiple genders. Not all mediums allow you to get inside every character's head or show what they're thinking. Flirting can be read ambiguously, and god forbid they flirt with a character who's not into them and be read as pushy or predatory. So it can be super handy to just mention an ex or two! But you better not mention too many exes because that would make them a slutty bisexual which is (checks notes) bad, and you definitely better be careful about making them poly, because that might make them, uh... greedy. Oh, and those exes? They better be perfectly amiable breakups with no conflict or drama, because it's bad to represent queer people in toxic or abusive relationships (especially queer women! very bad), and you definitely can't have them have lost a partner if the partner was queer because that's "bury your gays..." You should probably also eliminate all trauma from their backstory, just to be safe. You should probably also make sure they're not involved in crime, deception, or anything of the sort, because that would make them "deviant" and a stereotype.

But don't worry! Once you've carefully crafted your nice, monogamous, experienced-but-not-too-experienced Lawful Good bi character, you will be rewarded with your audience deeming them "boring" and quickly passing them over for other characters. :)

what's so striking to me about younger queer generations rn isn't the lack of knowledge about queer history, but the complete unwillingness to engage with it, when confronted with an identity or history they haven't heard of before they react with disgust rather than curiosity. (for example) instead of asking where the leather pride flag came from and what the leather community is and represents they immediately question the need for something like that to exist, not even willing to listen and learn from both elders and peers. this is also more broadly a problem in leftist spaces in general, being reactionary is somehow the default now, and anything that's different or unknown must be an attack and bad. really hoping y'all manage to grow out of this deeply conservative way of interacting with the world.

I'm on the fence with lesbian velvette cause then Ik I'd get hunted for shipping her with val and vox, but on the other hand I love that hc so much. In my own au hazbin world that I keep in my head, she's a lesbian and val is genderfluid and vox is transmasc non binary 😌 but that isn't canon unfortunately..

I also see her as transfem, ugh viv please please give us something, I can't keep guessing anymore 😫

advice i think we should tell children is that when adults say stuff like ‘now that i’m an adult i get really excited about stuff like coffee tables and bathrooms and rugs etc’ they don’t mean ‘and now i don’t care about blorbo and squimbus from my childhood tv shows anymore’ bc your average adult still loves all the same pop culture stuff they always did; they just have a greater appreciation for the mundane as well. growing up just means you can enjoy life twice as much now. you can get really excited about a new stuffed animal AND about a new kitchen sponge. peace and love
