Just some thoughts

Sometimes I think: there are people, who invented superheroes, and these superheroes got their franchises. But there are people, who invented superheroes, and these superheroes probably will never see the light. I wonder... who decides, which heroes are worth to get a franchises and which are not... An obvious answer is people with mony... but unfortunately I'm not one of them... Sometimes I dream to see my creations on screen. And dream to see if people will like it... But... I'm just small grain of sand in this world... There is another problem I have, beside not being a person with money. I can't create stories. I can invent a hero and I can think up bits of story, but I can't create whole solid story... I would be glad to share my heroes with someone, who can write good stories... But I think it is no matter, because my heroes are probably ones which will never see the light. Because it’s all just a dream...

calling jims troll form a punishment strikes me as... eh. just. incorrect, I suppose. like, sacrifice =/= punishment. Jim was not being punished. The point is not that he's suffering. It's a coming of age story, the point is that he's growing up. growing up means losing things. growing up means changing priorities, means giving up dreams you'd had, means leaving people and things behind, means making hard decisions and crossing points of no return.

Was the decision rushed? Did he not think it through? Was he stressed as fuck and pressured by a variety of influences and role models? Yeah. Yeah he was. Would you have been any different? And who's to say the choice he made was the wrong one? Our entire lives are defined by the choices we make, good, bad, or indeterminate. That's part of how we become who we are, and we don't get do-overs or magical fix-everythings. We live with the consequences of our sacrifices, and we adapt to the changes in who we are that those sacrifices create. It's a part of life. It's natural. It happens to everyone. Stop framing all loss as punishments.

My TOP of character prosthetic makeup of Monkey King (from movies and series I watched)

1. This one is perfect! It have all, what this character must have: fur on all body (including neck and fingers) and face (including cheeks), dynamic tail (visible throughout most of the movie) and fangs. They made him very detailed and awsom!

2. Another perfect work. The only complain, that his tail was only at the beginning of movie and than was hidden through the rest of movie (same in both movies with Aaron Kwok as MK).

3. This series have cheap special effects and cheap prosthetic makeups of monsters and creatures, but Monkey King is good enough. He is cute and funny. This version lacks only tail and fangs.

4. I like this one also. He looks cool and fearsome. But also lacks tail and fangs, and appears only at the end of movie. The rest of movie he have human appearance but actor is pretty nice 😊.

5. This one is played by Miu Tse is in several movies and series. He looks like human in most of them (the actor is pretty handsome 😁). But as a monkey, some makeups variations are not very good quality. I chose screenshot of most nice variation. In my opinion it lacks fur on cheeks and also lacks tail and fangs (in one movie he have fangs, but too big for a monkey...).

6. This one is nice but not very. I like his hairstyle and face (it lacks a little bit fur on cheeks) and actor is nice. But in other, this makeup is not good... He have no fur on his body (including neck), he have fur only on cuffs... he looks like trimmed poodle 😅... also no tail and fangs. And this series is awful... I watched only 12 episodes and 2 last ones and I regret that I watched it... it is full mess...

7, 8, 9. I don't even want to say much about these ones...

7 is not very bad, I don't like his braided beard also lacks fur on cheeks and no tail and fangs. This look appears only at the end of movie for a few minutes and then disappears at the very end (most of movie he looks like human)...

8 is bad enough. He have mustache not in a place 😏. And appears only at the end of movie for a few seconds... no tail and fangs.

and 9 is very bad (but not worst)... face prosthetic are not good... they ruined his lips and have visible junctions and it seems that prosthetics are glued bad... no tail and fangs.

P.S. And yes, I like this character very much! 😁 Don't judge me...

My review about "The New Legends of Monkey" series

I have watched 2 seasons of this series and I want to tell my opinion (if you don't agree with my opinion, don't scold me, because it is my personal review and I have rights to say what I think about it) So, my opinion is that this series is awful! They misinterpreted all. But it is not the point. They made some charecters different, like Sandy is a woman who is waterbender instead of a man who is sandbender. But I could live with that if plot was good. But it is awful... The Monkey King is not even a monkey. And he king of what? He don't even have a subjects. And they made him dumb idiot... Too selfish, too narcissist, too dumb... I don't say that Chai Hansen is a bad actor. It is not his fault that the character so dumb. But as you know, real Monkey King is very smart and tricky. But this one throughout the series make himself a fool, who can't read special language, can't make a good plan, can't think logically, often getting caught, getting tricked and only can fight. He is like real narcissus, handsome, strong but dumb... And that is not that Monkey King which we know and love... And I don't even speack about plot itself. Maybe someone like plot like that, but I don't. I could say more, but it will take too much time... Do you watched this series? And what is your opinion? Don't abuse me in your review, just say that you like it and why, or you don't like it and why

It happened again...

WHY?? Why they keep doing that?? And another one hero in another one series was reduce to nothing... My favorite character from chinese story - Monkey King... I regret that I watched that series... It left me same sense of disepointment and bitter as ending of "ToA Wizards"... I don't know, what autors of this series smoked, while they wrote this story... At the end they replased Monkey King with imposter (Six-eard macaque)... and turn Monkey King to plain human who is in love with same plain girl... this is boring, and it is painful for his fans...

I love that character becouse of his toughness. He is King, warior, and have sense of humor, and he usualy not interested in romantic relationships but in some films they ruin this character with that. I like when he cold to love but still care about innocent living beings. He such hero, who don’t need to have mate. To be drooly love boy do not suits him.

He is tough, fearsome but fair and funny King without any mushy baloney like romance. And I love much that in him! But some authors ruining it!! Ruining all cool experience about this character...

There are not enoth words to describe my concern about such attitude towards heroes... If I would wanted to watch love stories, I'd watches melodramas, but I hate them!! And I love stories about heroes or superheroes because of heroic stuff. And most precious heroes for me are those, who don't have an affair of any kind. Such heroes always causes thrills. And romance ruin this thrills...

Perhaps I stop at this point. If only autors heard me... 😔
