Zayn Malik signs with Turn First
Music Week understands that Zayn Malik has now signed a management deal with Turn First Artists and is being handled by Sarah Stennett.
No one from Turn First was available for comment, but it is believed that a deal has been signed and that work is now starting towards the release of a first solo album next year.
Rumours that Malik was going with Stennett emerged last month, and the need for hands-on, top class management was emphasised during his recent ugly/funny online spat with former friend/collaborator Naughty Boy.
Malik was, of course, previously managed, as part of One Direction, by Modest, but all parties clearly felt that a clean break was the best move.
Whether or not that remains the case on the label side remains to be seen.
