#When I went to university my dad gave me an edition of epictetus #which I carried around with me everyday until it nearly fell apart #and read and highlighted and took comfort in during several very difficult years #and it was like having my dad with me #When my best friend went through a terrible divorce we had a long conversation about stoicism #and years later she told me that some of the philosophies helped her get through a really hard time #Epictetus is near and dear to my heart

read something recently that said a majority of people don’t have a wall clock these days, thought it was interesting since I’ve always considered it an essential and functional piece of home decor.

ngl I keep forgetting that Hobby Lobby is a real store that people go to. That people actually think of it as a craft store and not as a crazy Christian mass artifact smuggler. I google "Hobby Lobby" and get a page full of results that make me go "wtf is this craft supplies and operating hours shit, I thought we all knew this place for smuggling looted cuneiform tablets out of Iraq"
