My Final Tumblr Post
Hello everyone! Long time no see, am I right? Anyway, I am making this post because I have decided to retire from using Tumblr. I know this may seem like a surprise to those who still follow me, but let me explain myself.
When I first joined back in 2013, I thought it was the best website ever – my true loyal internet friends were using it, I made some new friends through here, I could reblog & post whatever I wanted to, & best of all I was free to be myself without any restrictions! It was true freedom to be myself!
But as time went on, life continued going forward & things began to change for the better (in most cases). I want things to continue getting better for myself & for others around me, so I only feel it’s time I continued elsewhere. Plus, there are a number of good reasons why I’m logging off of Tumblr. They are as follows:
Most of the blogs I follow, many of which include friends of mine, have stopped using Tumblr, & thus there’s less variety for me to reblog.
Scrolling through Tumblr causes my computer to slow down significantly, & thus it gets more & more frustrating to search for things to reblog.
I really don’t like some of the things they’ve (meaning @staff ) forced upon us, such as making me use the newer design as opposed to the classic blog design.
Other websites I use give me much more satisfaction for passing the time, such as DeviantArt, YouTube, & Instagram.
So yeah, I think those are some good reasons for me to retire from this site. But there are two more matters of business I need to take care of before logging off. Firstly, I’m going to leave my blog & my other blogs up in case people want to search through my archives & reblog things they like.
Second, & more importantly, I want to make it clear that I still wish to maintain many of the relationships I’ve formed here on this site. To my Tumblr friends, especially @tangle-of-ivy, @tbrig, & @pottercourt, I would still like to be friends with you guys if that’s alright. Let me know if you’d like that as well, & I’d be happy to work something out with you guys!
If you guys want to continue seeing what I’m up to, you can see my stuff & follow me on my Instagram, my DeviantArt, & occasionally my Twitter. I would strongly recommend my Instagram page out of all of them, personally. Until next time, I hope you guys have a wonderful rest of the day, & I wish all of you the best of luck in your dreams & future endeavors. Now, to end things with a very personal quote:
“Success in life has nothing to do with what you gain in life or accomplish for yourself. It’s what you do for others.” – Danny Thomas

Save the planet by simeon1994
Here is a nice painting that shows a mighty packy walking across the planet Earth while carrying a city on its back. I have a feeling this is supposed to be symbolic of something, but I’m not really sure myself.

Baby Elephant Stuck on Cliff Gets Helping Hand
Here is a video from the Mashatu Game Reserve, in which a herd of packys climbs up a small cliff. At one point, the baby has some difficulty, & so the matriarch helps it out. Packys do such a great job looking out for one another!

View of the Large Imported Elephant by Taguchi
Here is a painting that’s found at the Metropolitan Museum of Art, which is by the Japanese artist Taguchi & was completed in 1863. It illustrates a man delivering a packy as an imported gift to Japan, as the packy stands peacefully & eats some hay. What I like about this piece is how the packy is depicted in this older Japanese style & is probably how many people imagined these wonderful animals before actually seeing them.

Asian Elephant Watercolor by Aleksandra Foster
Here is a nice watercolor painting that shows a packy taking a nice stroll. It’s a nice touch to see the actual watercolor paints & brushes the artist used for this piece!
