Decided what to do for Cordial. I'm just going to turn his terrarium into a plant only enclosure and bury him within it nice and deep. Once the isopods and springtails have fully decomposed him I may consider adding another reptile to the tank in the distant future. Till then the plants will serve as a memorial garden.

Im really sorry about Cordial. He was a beautiful snake and will be missed. You've suffered a lot of pet death over the last few months, I hope this doesnt get you down too bad. Take care of yourself

Thank you friend. An unfortunate side effect of surrounding yourself with living things is eventually you're surrounded by dying things. Reptiles and birds are especially delicate and prone to sudden declines.

I keep having nightmares that something will happen to one of the other pets. I tend to have stress dreams about Aster dying. I'd like some good news for a change. At least everyone else appears healthy for now.

One thing I really hate about not having a yard is not having a place to really properly bury a fallen pet friend. I'm so on the fence if I'll get another snake after what happened to Cordial. He was special.
