While she's sketching out new machine designs or writing up new reports, she's listening to music. I'd say in a given day, she's spending 60% of it listening to music. 💯RANDOM FACTS ✦ As I mentioned in a previous post, Terrah is terrifyingly good at putting apart, fixing, & destroying anything mechanical. This is primarily for equipment that she can get her hands on, and more for those with explicit mechanical components like in a car or fridge. ✦ Because of her deft hands, when she was still in college, she started a side hustle fixing other people's cars or computers. From the circuit board to the full system, she found a solution to the problem and charged a hefty amount. ✦ On the flip side of this, she's not computer savvy. She's not a programmer or even on social media that much. She's good with the CAD programs & analytical tools she has to use for work, but anything IT-related? Ask someone else because she won't be the woman to figure that out.

💯RANDOM FACTS ✦ Due to growing up in a small town that was hyper-fixated on her appearance & mere existence, Lilah occasionally has anxiety attacks if she feels like a lot of eyes are on her. She doesn't like to be stared at by strangers, and if there's a creeping feeling that she's being followed, it will trigger a panic attack. Ironic, given her dream profession. ✦ After she got herself established in her career, Lilah is just prone to taking spontaneous road trips to herself - only taking her sachel, money, a book, and an idea. She would then take that as a 2-week sabbatical where she'd write up a new novel in that timespan and bring it back to the world. ✦ All of Lilah's novels are short reads (~60-70K words a piece), and they all explore aspects of her understanding of life & love. While she's working the night shift, she has her headphones ringing more upbeat, optimistic music. These are also tunes that Avian's dancing through during the night as she's organizing medication. In a day, about 70% of Avian's time is spent listening to music. 💯RANDOM FACTS ✦ Avian is classically trained in ballroom dancing thanks to her dad - it was one of the few activities he got her into so she didn't become a complete shut-in. Specifically, Avian can swing dance, waltz, and foxtrot. Avian enjoyed the dancing part but did not enjoy the part with her weird partners hitting on her afterward. ✦ Avian is "technically" religious but in a spiritual way. James never forced her to go to church with him but did guide her to learn how to use religion that best suited her & her lifestyle. She didn't buy into religion much until her father passed away, and so she leans into spirituality as a way to keep herself sane. She's a very passive listener, and she may put it on in the background if she's cleaning or cooking, but again, she may prioritize listening to the news or putting a TV show on. Most music to Ivy is supposed to be played at a party, anyway. About 20% of her day is spent listening to music. 💯RANDOM FACTS ✦ A lot of Ivy's current black/gothic style was inspired by her mother; Ivy grew up looking over the old Polaroids of her mother and her long black locs & black lipstick idolizing how powerful she looked in those old pictures. Because of this, that has influenced a lot of Ivy's current wardrobe. She actually locs her own hair in honor of her mother. ✦ Ivy transitioned early thanks to her mother's support. After Ivy's father left their lives, her mother took pride in her child's choice and assisted in giving Ivy the life she wanted. This required Ivy to transfer schools so she could start with a clean slate, but by the time Ivy was 13, she could start living her true self. ✦ Ivy has been arrested a handful of times, but never charged. This was mostly throughout her young adulthood, as she was often the one stepping into fights to break them up to protect other people. She has gotten lucky that her connections ran deep with good people to avoid the actual time, but the old Manchester police department likely knows Ivy by name, and they're waiting on the day she falls back to rock bottom.

Terrah + Elvira: CLOSE FRIENDS — first met in passing during Terrah's undergrad, smoking hand-rolled spliffs off the collegiate building rooftops, Ivy being Terrah's underclassman - a transfer from the UK studying in the US for a year. Two women of esteem, connected by their intelligence and passion for the disciplines they've chose. Elvira met Terrah before Vincent, and saw the potential stifled the moment that man interjected in Terrah's path. Ivy was the only friend who stuck around before, during, and after Vincent's marriage, whereas Terrah is the only person who knew of Ivy's life prior to her Archeological acclaim. These women are thick as thieves; platonic soulmates to their core.

Manny + Ayati: COWORKERS/BUSINESS PARTNERS — whether it's for their main verse or modern verse, Manny & Ayati keep a professional, affable business relationship. She's often the auditor for his sales & assets, providing quick and curt assessments of where he stands. Manny had once tried asking her out on a date and failed miserably. But the two of them have an amazing work relationship with one another. Ayati will never bullshit him, and Aya knows she has a shoulder to lean on with Manny.

Lilah + Ricky/Jacket: ENEMIES— whether it's Ricky dating one of her close friends and/or roommates or just existing in the same room as her, Lilah & Ricky have an unspoken hatred for one another that surpasses any hope of recovery. Both of them grate on each other's nerves in the right way: Lilah is too nosy, Ricky's too closed off. Lilah's looking to make a difference in the world, but Ricky refuses to see the impact of his actions onto the world. These two can't do anything right except get on each other's nerves, and it's worsen by the fact that Lilah's biggest scoop is centered around Ricky's spree murders. Lilah is a danger to Ricky's actions, and it's only a matter of time before Ricky has to clean up the mess himself.

LET'S TALK ABOUT ROMANCE. @lotuskissed: 💮 - Is your muse the possessive or super jealous type? (Ivy & Lilah)

For Ivy? She's not the jealous type— that's because Elvira has a very secure attachment style. Whether it's based on her own self-confidence or she simply don't grow too attach off the jump, Ivy is moreso to be the kind of person to say "You want them? Take them," then try to prove herself to earn someone's love. That's why most early relationships with Ivy fizzle out because Ivy is not one to willing to fight for something if her boundaries are crossed. However, when she does commit fully and the other is fully committed to her? It's easy sailing from there, and she does often trust her partner more than distrust them. And if you break that trust? She's dropping them off the dime and WILL blame them.

For Lilah? She is 100% the jealous type, despite the fact she has an inherent mindset that everyone is going to leave her anyway & that she doesn't deserve their loyalty. I wouldn't consider her possessive (like, she's not going to do anything about it), but I know if there's any ounce of her partner's wandering eye or if there's any idea that she's just the placeholder for the next girlfriend, it will GNAW at her violently. It will eventually start to reflect in her actions, where she grows to be more distant and flaky. Some of this can be an overreaction, but it's all based in her own insecurity - the feeling that she'll never be enough.

SOME WEIRDLY SPECIFIC ACCESSORIES.

A STAINLESS STEEL BAND wraps around Terrah's right pinky finger;    it's easy to notice her play with the thin, shimmering band when she's midthought or speaking to another. It sits as a reminder as her oath as an engineer - a sign of her pride and reminder of her oath to ethics & conduct. To act with confidence, but also to remember humility. She wears this ring more than her own wedding band, that's how proud she is in her work as an engineer.

Ivy's first piercing resides within her mouth; a SILVER TONGUE STUD, dead center in her tongue.     it was a dare, initially - one of the rejects like her told her she didn't have the gall to destroy her body like that. She was only sixteen, and dreaming for acceptance. After the initial sting, the swelling quelled, and the pain couldn't compare to the emotional capital she had lost to this point. So, she kept the piercing around, added more to the roster. Her nose, ears, and nipples: silver studded. It adds to her authenticity, her legacy.

A noose still resides around Lilah's neck, shaped as a DAINTY GOLD CHAIN WITH A SMALL, CIRCULAR CHARM;    within that charm is "LL" - her initials as bright as day. It glimmers with her smile, shining beautifully wtih her deep skin. It's a casual piece that may not be noticable in conversation, but to Lilah, the chain is eerile cold, sterile even. It's the red string consistently tying her to Nick - something she doesn't admit openly. It's the first gift he gave her, the one that felt right. For a moment, she thought he was listening. Oh, she wished he was listening.

MY MUSE IN A RELATIONSHIP | ↪ @samuhelll: 💔❤️(manny, ivy, & aya)

💔do they have a certain type of person they will not enter into a relationship with?

FOR MANNY,    he's often dating holy, traditional type; the kind that wears a cross proudly around their neck, act coy towards any direct flirtation, and often expect him to be the pursuer. It's funny because Manny doesn't mind casually dating people like this, but he never ends up in long-standing relationships with people who are like that. Sure, hey may date them for a few months, but Manny (admittedly) will get bored with the relationship and won't see a future with a partner that fully expects him to just be the breadwinner & caretaker. He wants a lover that he chooses to take care of, someone who builds a life with him and not expect him to build something around them.

FOR IVY,    it's ironic that she, a woman who lives her life on the edge by treasure hunting, spelunking, and hiking, she doesn't date others who are equally as risky. She needs a grounding partner, someone to bring her back to center instead of another unbalancing force. Ivy also doesn't like ego-driven people as well - again, reflecting off of herself. Ivy's ego and identity takes priority in her mind, and having to fight with someone who isn't humble doesn't click with her. 

FOR AYATI,     if they were to fall for someone, they'd have to be more eccentric & expressive than her - someone who seems more foreign, messier than her. Someone who can make her laugh. So, when it comes to people they won't be in a relationship with, they can't be like her. It's like putting two rocks together. They're not going to move the needle at all.

❤️ do they fall in love easily?

FOR MANNY,      he doesn't fall in love instantly - if anything, love is like a seed settling in his heart, that only blooms when he realizes he may lose it. Manny's blind to his love until someone makes his affection apparent, like someone attempting to court his romantic interest or they get into an argument about Manny's sudden envy-driven behavior. Once his feelings are forced to the forefront, then he falls heavily from there.

FOR IVY,           she does fall in love easily, but she holds it close to her chest. Ivy, despite it all, believes in loves at first sight and falls in love with someone new if she sees their passion and driven nature. Now, it's very wishy-washy if she does pursue those feelings, but Ivy is a lover deep down. The question is: does she believe she deserves love and security?

FOR AYATI,         Aya loves the unknown, the weird, and the supernatural - but for grounded, human feelings like falling in love? Pitiful, in her perspective. Aya has the ability to fall in love, and to some degree, she might have fallen in love before. But because of her head & soul is wired - she's more in love with her duty, work and the world than to fall for one being. It's possible for her to love, but that's not her current priority.

😘 Does their demeanor change when in a relationship? 

FOR IVY: Elvira's demeanor doesn't change too significantly. they're still rather confident and playful in a relationship, but now there's a level of patience that's rather peculiar for Ivy. most people know Ivy to be a tad impatient, and rather irritable if others waste her time, but with her partner, she has all the time in the world to listen to them and wait on them. Ivy's tuned emotional intelligence really shows in her intimate relationships, as her heart shows on their sleeve, and they're willing to talk about their feelings with a partner than with strangers.

FOR AVIAN: her demeanor definitely changes within a relationship. Avian's stuffy and uptight demeanor when first meeting her melts into her true nature: eager, open, and outwardly friendly & quirky. she's more inclined to show her hobbies and interest (fashion, makeup, baking & mixology), and attempts to share them fully with her partner with glee. it's like seeing a sunflower open up towards the nearest path of warm. avian will still have a lot of her wit with her partner, but she's more likely to talk mindlessly and enthusiastically.

private school trauma. your muse & avian meet during avian's time in private school. your muse could either be one of her previous bullies who tormented her during school, or a passerby who was passive observer to her bullying. your muse meets with avian years later as she's working part time at the cocktail bar/pharmacy, giving you time to catch up and start anew or make amends for previous transgressions.

rivals to friends/lover. your muse is either an academic or work rival for avian during college that constantly teases her throughout the time you two work with each other. that can easily lead to friendship and/or romance.

opposites attract/poor friend & rich friend. your muse is a nihilistic, loveable rogue/troublemaker type opposite to avian's optimistic, bossy princess-esque/good girl image. can either be a platonic or romantic dynamic. OR, could be a great option to break her trust. :)

... at first sight. somehow, somewhere, your muse & avian click during their first interaction - talking about each other's hyperfixations without judgement or worry. This can easily be a platonic soulmates moment or romantic "love at first sight"

new year, new me. your muse knew ivy prior to her recent fame, and fatefully meet her again at the pub one night while she was working. clearly, a lot has changed since you've last met, so it's your chance to connect with old memories. easily can be a romantic, platonic, or antagonistic moment.

it's only business. your muse is one of ivy's top clients who often go to her to steal top priority treasures & artefacts. your muse and ivy have had this partnership for years now, so it's only a matter of time to see how it morphs. maybe, after all this time, the two of them start to grate on each other nerves, or maybe they should finally grab dinner and talk about their partnership?

grumpy / sunshine. grumpy, goth elvira with your bright and cheerful muse. sunshine muses happen to be elvira's type, and it's not unlikely for her to express her interest both romantically or platonically.

friends to rivals/enemies. your muse is an associate of ivy within the archeological / treasure hunter community, and your muse is involved with the plot that aimed to get ivy killed. will your muse stand their ground on their decision, or attempt to redeem their relationship?

unrequited love. in a sudden twist, ivy has been pining for your muse for years after knowing each other for awhile. and despite all her efforts of smothering her emotions, your muse starts to pick up on it. can easily be morphed as platonic, romantic, or go sour real fast. ivy only falls for upbeat, cheery muses, however.

third times the charm/one night stand. after getting herself established and years of focusing on her career, lilah meets your muse at a crowded party one day and they immediately hit it off, much to her chagrin. talking leads to a one night stand between the two of you, which ultimately leads to awkward conversations and new terrain to explore. this could lead to a romance or a funny platonic connection that they laugh about. one thing's for sure: there is going to be a lot of push/pull from lilah. lilah only falls for eccentric/quirky & sharp/intelligent muses.

all for the story. your muse is currently the topic of Lilah's next big expose, where she's doing everything in her power to dig deeper into your muse's background & experiences to write her next big book. her methods are unorthodox, and some even unethical, but she's trying to get the big score. your muse could be a big shot billionaire/criminal/etc. and this situation could go very beneficial for lilah long term, or go horribly wrong.

enemies to friends. because of lilah's mercurial image, your muse has a misconception/perception about lilah that isn't very nice, and in return, lilah doesn't care and often inflames your muses sentiments. the goal is to hopefully become friends in the long run... but lilah's own actions may deter that.

office/work friendship/romance. lilah is working with your muse on her next story/next book as a business partner. one day, she casually asks your muse to coffee to learn more about your story. quickest way into her friendship/romance.

strangers to lovers. your muse & lilah happens to bump into each other at her favorite bookstore, and your muse makes a comment about the literature she's interested in. this quickly spirals into the fairy tale romance she idealizes, or, it could be another mistake in her unfortunate search for love.

new beginnings. your muse was friends with terrah back in college before her whirlwind relationship with vincent venture. the two of you kept in touch frequently, as your muse were one of her few friends that stuck around despite vincent's attempts to isolate her. your muse watched as the spirited, ambitious young woman turned cold and docile in her weary marriage. after the divorce, the two of them reconnect fully and build their relationship again. this could be a chance to rebuild a great platonic bond, or for your muse to get the chance they lost.

an eye for an eye. your muse has a casual friendship with terrah through work / passing experience, and she confides in your muse about vincent's recent infidelity over the phone after having one drink too many. this could be a great way to build the platonic relationship between the two as terrah undergoes her divorce, or it could be a fun plot of getting back at vincent by simply saying: cheat back (with your muse preferably).

enemies to friends/lovers. a classic for terrah, because while vincent fooled her with charm and a dream, terrah only falls with people after seeing the worst in them. primarily because terrah purposefully likes/flirts with problematic/smug muses. here comes your muse: who she is clearly attracted to, but her reason keeps her from pursuing unless your muse seems worth it. Which often leads to heads butting and turmoil. is this a passing phase that turns into a friendship, a folly waiting to happen, or true love in the making?

mentor/mentee or parental figure. because of terrah's experience and aura, she seems to attract a lot of weary souls looking for guidance. your muse is someone looking to terrah as a guide as they're getting through their life. her warmth surpasses her logic, and a wonderful friendship can be born from this.

strangers to friends/rivals. because of terrah's naturally callous & calculated nature, it can be a toss up how quickly she either makes a friend or enemy. terrah is purposefully inflammatory and direct, which doesn't bode well with most people. will your muse take her directness in jest and acknowledge this is just a bridge to cross, or will this be an issue from the jump? Also connects to enemies to lover because, sometimes, seeing that bad side makes the good even better.

THINGS YOUR MUSE WILL NOTICE ABOUT MINE.

WHAT THEY LOOK LIKE. Loud, unabashed, flamboyant - look towards her, and you'll see the sun, moon & stars! Elvira DeLauris: her name like old hollywood, but her looks screams new wave gothic renewal. Although she sports dark & morose (blacks, greys, browns, with occasional flickers of reds, oranges, and white), her fashion's flashy and bold; shaping to her figure like another skin. It all looks natural, it looks and sells the idea of Elvira DeLauris. Against golden brown skin are chunky jewelry glimmering under the lights. Diamonds shining in her ears, fingers, and even in her long nails. Long, small, black locs rain from her head, reaching the small of her back like a cape. You can't ignore her, Elvira built herself to be noticed. And she refuses to hide ever again.

WHAT THEY SMELL LIKE. In contrast to her looks, her scents are subtle, spicy, and flavorful, a perfume that you only notice from a few steps away in the room. Ivy loves natural scents, like cinnamon, cardamon, sandalwood, & palm; some liken her typical perfume profile similar to teas & herbal drinks, which is strangely subtle compared to her appearance. Stepping closer to her, you may notice the small hints of manuka honey & seed oils - remnants of hair products she used in her recent retwist.

WHAT THEY TASTE LIKE. Sweet, authentic, natural, even beneath the flare of her demeanor. Tangerines and mangos linger from her breakfast before, as well as hibiscus & black tea. Alongside the pride Elvira takes in her looks, she takes to what she eats. Her mother's a bush doctor, Elvira likes to claim, and her mama taught her what roots & vegetables are worth putting in her body. Right for the body, right for the soul. And the deeper you kiss her, the more you taste that clearly.

WHAT THEY SOUND LIKE. Higher and more even-tempered than most would presume. Born in Birmingham from Jamaican immigrants and it shows with her accent; it's a slurry between the standard british accent with some patois mixed in here and there. But she speaks intelligently, sharper than what others would assume based on her appearance. It's another contradiction added to the list building against Elvira. For reference, Stefflon Don is her VC.

WHAT THEY FEEL LIKE. Like the crash of ocean waves, and the licks of the wildfire; she can be overwhelming, dangerous when untamed. Her spirit cannot be held to social conventions, and she refuses to be kept under another's thumb. She's a natural born leader, threatening to consume you into the folds of her ideology, her truth. But, there's a beauty to this spirit; beneath it all, there's a calm to it if you let it sweep you away. Let the waters envelope you, the fire consume your physical being. There, you find peace beneath the disaster - one that Elvira could provide.

I admire how Ivy is very open, honest and proud about how much work & money she spent on her looks; someone comes around her and clocks her as a "plastic-looking barbie", and Ivy, with the smallest gasp, is like "Thank you!" That's gender reaffirment right there.

In all honesty, the only gender reaffirming surgery that Ivy has actually gotten was a minor boob lift to make them fuller. Everything else was built off the back of her very, very strict workout regiments & vegan diet. Weight training 2-3x a week, cardio every day, and three square meals a day. That's the recipe for a fat ass and nice abs that also helps with gender affirment. I mean, look at the woman.
