Em never typically ventured too far away from Benson's side -- sure, he would sneak out for his nightly activities, however, that was only after Benson was sound asleep in his bed. That being said, with him being Benson's right-hand man, it made sense that the manager would send him on little errands ( or " retrieval missions, " as Em liked to so eloquently call them, ) to grab something out of the Park, usually because Mordecai and Rigby wouldn't actually get it done.

This time, more glue for Benson's desk, since he'd run out and needed more. So here he was, at the store, looking for the specific type of glue he knew the gumball machine was biased to. It took a moment ( fuckers always hid the good shit way in the BACK, ) but he did find it, and he went up to the counter, paid for it, and stepped outside.

He was about to sneak into some alleyway to portal back to the Park when his nose picked up on some...new scent, something he'd smelt only a few times in the past...

Magic. There was another supernatural being around.

His head turned to the source, and with as much sneakiness and elegance of an elephant ransacking a cane field, he slipped his way through the crowd, until he found where the scent had originated. And it was...someone he'd never seen or met before.

Thoroughly confused, the demon decided to put his on usual stoic demeanor and figure out what the fuck was going on.
