thoughts below my dudes spoilers be extra heavy
Tumblr media
getting some big ole "lost" vibes from that whole freezing to death scene with lottie, don't know how i feel about that cause "lost" fucked us over in the end and i'm still not over it all these years later. so. yj writers...don't let me down
akilah was precious with the little mouse / shrew ( not exactly sure what it was but it was cute ) and her being the only one really semi-clinging to "normalcy" with still studying for the STATS? i'm rooting for you bby girl pls do not follow in mari's footsteps
speaking of mari....girl if you find yourself wondering why you were chosen for the next bbq....think back to all the BEEF you were starting and having with everyone in that cabin like a;sdklfj pull your head out of your ass lmao
benny boy, my dude, my home-skillet....pls don't ask the "vicious monsters" what they would have / will do if you're chosen / selected for the next feast cause that just not a good thing to be putting in their heads. also you should have used your crutch against mari cause girly really be squaring up with you like ma'am that is a full grown adult man...sit your ass down
LAURA LEE PLEASE COME BACK CAUSE YOUR GF IS LOSIN IT BABES like...lottie really does need a voice of reason and i think that's what laura lee was to her aside from the og believer and thinking she [lottie] had a direct line to "god" with knowing what's up with the wilderness and shit
....javi being alive was not on my bingo card but i don't think he's completely out of the woods ( ha ) just yet cause it's still possible that he could not have been one of the, i'm assuming, 8 survivors. but we shall see but i know for certain that nat's gonna get an ear full from travis / the others cause of the whole "finding" his [javi] pants in the tree. but i had a feeling that it would come back and bite her in the ass...just not in the form of javi being alive
i love vanessa palmer so much like that's my butch lesbian <3 love that they own a little shop and it looks like it involves their interests, etc. absolutely love it for van
tai you need to talk to someone and i hope you actually talk to van about like....everything leading up to you just randomly showing up to their place of business which....other tai seems to be in more control???? like the whole breaking into jessica robert's place and finding the info to find van then "waking up" on the side of the road with no gas. way pass sleep walking and eating dirt and that don't sound good nor could it mean good is to come of it
shauna and jeff, mom and dad, you need to get it together but i'm with jeff in the way that shauna should not have told callie that she killed adam, that jeff knew, and helped get rid of the evidence. like it just...SHE'S TALKING TO A 30+ YEAR OLD CREEPO COP which i get it, she doesn't know that but still. she's already leaked that shauna did have an affair with adam and that just shines some shit light on shauna and jeff and just....baby what is you doin
something that was on my bingo card and that is having me squinting even harder at walt is the whole story about him having won a settlement and "surviving" an accident. also proclaiming himself to be a millionaire???? oh you mean hottie lottie's bread and jam aka the type of folks that come to cult camp???? nah. walt has def gotta be involved someway cause it makes sense; lottie knows how misty is/was and she could have seen that walt was the same ( if he wasn't fucking coached to be that way ) and pointed him in misty's direction cause it could be the perfect way to get misty to the cult camp though i'm sure misty would have found a way to get HER WOMAN back one way or another
and now to the biggest thing i have screamed with the wifey ( @scatcrccio ) ....if these writers are dicking me around with mistnat/NaSTY being a thing after teasing it so fuckin hard last season oN TOP OF THE ACTORS BOTH SHIPPING IT....i will get violent. it's giving me too much whiplash and flashbacks to killing eve and i just can not go through that kinda shit again. so if tHE WRITERS COULD PLEASE JUST EASE UP ON THE POTENTIAL SHIPS AND REFOCUS ON MISTNAT....that'd be fuckin super duper
....also absolutely no offence to lottie/nat or nat/lisa shippers like you do you boo-boo but i'm delusional and floating down the denial river grasping at mistnat and i need it to be canon okay????

got tagged by @night-dark-woods , hiya lol. ty for the like, thing to do lol. im supposed to tag 9 more ppl i want to get to know better but im only gonna tag a few. @maplespicetransgirl @draciallia @kobold-lesbian @y2k-lesbian
1. top 3 ships: uhhhhhhhh, im gonna say currently rather than all time, glimmer x adora x catra, idk lol its a cute idea and theres a bunch of cute art of them together lol. ive been rly enjoying my next life as a villainess, the mc, catarina, doesnt realise she has at least 2 girls in love with her with a 3rd on the way. i wish i could believe it will resolve in polyamory but. maybe we'll at least see her get a gf. bc. its been very blatant about her friends being in love with her. one of them, mary, has been in love with her for years and is trying to sabotage anyone else falling in love with her, and the other, wont say who bc spoiler, is her reincarnated best friend (its an isekai show) but doesn't realise it, and in the last episode some magic made her speak without inhibitions, and the first thing she does is tell catarina she loves her in like, the romantic way. so you know, fingers crossed. other than thaaaaaat... uhhhhh.... oh i guess poppy and barb from trolls 2. i like that movie. wish it was as gay as it clearly wants to be. also i need to keep watching rwby, ruby/weiss/penny is rly cute.
2. last movie i watched: i watched. half. of osmosis jones with friends earlier today. very gross movie. last complete movie was probably the cgi tintin movie..?? good but idk. before that was trolls 2, for the 2nd time. those movies are great.
3. last book i read: i cant read. well i have adhd so i dont read much anymore. i miss novels but i do listen to audiobooks. currently listening to interesting times by terry pratchett with my gf. last physical book i read was uncaged vol 1, a book of queer dnd adventures with a focus on like, uhhh, monstrous women iirc. its good. def recommend. havent read the whole thing tho.
4. food im currently craving: idk how to answer this lol. i could rly fuck with some mcdonalds or burger king. anything salty spicy and deep fried.. im a glutton and i have sensory issues with food. i tend to eat mostly comfortable or safe foods with good textures and tastes. anything outside my comfort zone usually bad stims me, which is like. horrendous. it makes food hard but also like. good food is rapturous. i like stir fry a lot. my gf cooks stir fry a lot and i always love it. and i like putting condiments on things. bbq sauce, soy sauce, and like, if i can get it theres this rly good peri peri salt they sell at nandos. god i love salt and spicy things. i had a korean burger once that was so spicy i couldnt finish it in one sitting and god i want another. it had a black bun and the chicken was bright red with spices, it was great i miss it. theres this spicy burger mcdonalds did once that had like. battered and deep fried jalapenos on it and spicy salsa and chicken and it was godly. oh and the spicy shaker fries. miss those. dream burger would be something like, korean spicy chicken with some kind of sweet tangy spicy sauce, battered jalapenos, bacon, salad, and a hashbrown coated in some kind of spicy salt. i used to like subway a lot but idk now. i also love donuts. and pastries. and oranges and citrus fruit in general. pears are great too. im not usually into like, candy or chocolate tho its too sweet. oh i love chinese food. noodles and rice and meat and vegetables and sauces, all packed with flavour and amazing textures... chinese food is so good. sushi and japanese food in general tends to be my jam too. most things with rice are rly good. not curries tho i cant eat many curries, i like butter chicken tho thats always good. i could keep going lol i love food. oh turkish food is good. and greek? lots of good meats. tho i cant deal with uhhh... tabouli, parsley kills me on contact idk. and cilantro. but i love souvlakis those are great. pasta is alright, i like tortellini and ravioli and gnocchi with lots of cheese. oh and pizza. with everything on it. especially anchovies. i love anchovies and olives and feta... and pepperoni... and garlic bread. cured meats in general are very good. root vegetables too. capsicum and chillis are yummmmm. im sure i could go on... food is. so good. its euphoric. oh i love ramen too! and uhhh, ramyun i think its called?? i think its korean? its spicy and very good. thicker noodles too. anyway i should stop this is too much lol.
ty for asking my opinion lol

Black History Month EXCLUSIVE: Dark Chocolate Frogs!
You’ve had our famous CHOCOLATE FROGS in original and white chocolate variety but for this Black Wizard History Month you can now enjoy DARK CHOCOLATE FROGS complete with Famous witch and wizard cards celebrating great Black witches and wizards and their contributions to the Wizarding World.
Here are a few examples of cards available for you to collect this February!
Samson Senkebejje - Headmaster at Ougadou School of Magic, who infamously argued for the recognition of wandless magic as a superior to wandcraft in front of the International Confederation of Wizards by summoning the wands of all the European members at the same time.
Abiola Adams - The inventor of the spells included in Gilderoy Lockhart's Guide to Household Pests. After her papers were discovered in Lockhart’s possession upon his admittance to St Mungo’s, her family sued Lockhart’s publishers and the Ministry of Magic when they realized Lockhart had used a Memory Charm against her immediate family to ensure no one would claim the credit.
Shadrias Hudson - One of the richest wizards in the world and the richest Black person in Britain, Hudson made his fortune by introducing ballpoint pens and parchment charmed into a notebook. Hudson, a Muggle-born, started his importing empire when he attended Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry and realized that everyone was using quills and loose parchment.
Raylan Hayes - The inventor of the Baccio spell, which is the reversal of the Summoning spell. A half-blood wizard, Hayes realized the spell’s vital need after his mother kept yelling at him to put stuff back where he found it.
Da’quintin Davies - A famous American wizarding music producer who sampled popular forms of Black Muggle music and translated it for the wizarding world. He produced the famous cover “Before I Accio,” Celestina Warbeck’s version of the Maze classic that introduced her to a new generation of wizards and BBQs.
Earnest Singleton - Chef and owner of the Wizarding World’s first global franchise restaurant Cauldron Fried Chicken (or CFC). Singleton is known for also launching festival style CFC Cookouts across the diaspora, introducing new young cooks, musicians, and artists to Black wizards everywhere.
Clarice Caldwell - Editor-in-Chief of Black Witches Weekly, a culture and lifestyle magazine for Black witches across the diaspora. In response to a scathing gossip column speculating on the nature of the friendship between Caldwell and socialite Nicola Zabini by Rita Skeeter, Caldwell let her know publicly at a Ministry gala that she would embarrass her in front of her ‘lil’ friends.’
Dazzaline Draper - Draper established the first spoken word poetry slam in the history of Ilvermorny School of Magic and went on to become an executive producer of Def Wizards Jam, a long-running series on MBO (Magic Box Office).

Air Guitar and 85 MPH!
I was going to spend my second “blog” discussing pretentiousness in Santa Fe or New Mexican food and green chile in general.  But since I came up with something a little more fun, I guess I’ll save the talk about ordering water in a bowl and drinking it with a spoon for a different time.  On my drive back to Oklahoma I thought of a topic that always shows its face when I’m on a road trip.   I often forget about it until the next time I’m in the car or just don’t put much thought into it once I’ve opened the car doors and let the dog out to deal with his pent up energy as I unload the car.  Not to mention the obligatory hour I have to spend re-aquainting myself to the cat, who is certain that I have disappeared forever this time.
The topic that came to me is road trip songs.
I love road trips.  You may think I’m crazy but settling into the driver seat, snacks on the passenger seat,  the basset hound panting in my face, his front feet on the console, anticipating our newest adventure, is the best.  Within a pretty short time, he tends to realize that this is just another day-long roady and roughs up his blanket in the backseat and settles in for the ride. Giving me weird basset hound glances in the mirror.  Not sure if it’s the music or he just wants some pork rinds.
Now these road trips of mine usually arent extravagant or exotic.  Unless you consider driving state highways through Kansas, Oklahoma, Wyoming or any other of the fly-over states I tend to travel as being exotic. (Personally I’d choose these drives over just about any other you could propose to me).  The great thing about these road trips, aside from seeing so many wonderful historically relevant places (as well as plenty of non-relevant places), and feeling a oneness with wide open spaces, is the time you get to yourself to hone your listening skills.
Those of you that know me, know that I have many preferences when it comes to music.  As Cheech says in Up In Smoke, “we play everything from El Chicano to Santana”.  I love it all.  Some more than others, but I probably have a song or two from every type of playlist or genre that you can think of.  Add to that the fact that if there is a specific location I’m aiming my car to (often there is not), I will jam songs from or about that location.  For instance, while driving the empty roads of New Mexico it will be Ennio Morricone and The Good, The Bad and the Ugly soundtrack.  Wyoming is of course Chris LeDoux country.  On my way to Kansas City to eat BBQ, it’s Joe Williams singing “Kansas City” or Charlie Parker and K.C. Blues.  Memphis is Sister Rosetta Tharpe (you can keep Elvis, I am not a fan.  Yeah, I said it).  West Texas?  Marty Robbins Gunfighter Ballads, of course!  Down south, it’s Big Maybelle, Lightnin’ Hopkins and Muddy Waters.  You get the idea.  It may seem strange but there is something that touches my soul in listening to those songs that are native to an area.  Whether or not I actually do learn anything, it feels as though I have.
With that weird little eccentricity out of the way, let me add that of course there are some staples of any road trip, for me at least.  These are songs, albums and artists that I listen to, to fill in all the  empty spaces of those relatively uneventful miles, musically or otherwise.  Maybe it’s Def Leppard or ACDC or Beyonce or Ariana Grande for you.  For me these are easy.  I can not even begin to guess how many miles have been eaten up by Merle Haggard, or The Count Basie Orchestra.  I am not scared of extreme opposites.  Hundreds upon thousands upon tens of thousands of miles have been chewed up by these two musical groups, and yes, I’m aware that I am probably the only person living who can claim that.
The millennials reading this will have no idea about this next category.  There use to be these things called albums.  Albums were a group of songs, recorded (usually around the same time), and released as a unit to the masses.  These units were sold as vinyl records, cassette tapes, 8-tracks, or CDs.  Those of us a little older can attest that 90 percent of these albums had 2-4 songs that we liked and a bunch of other average or barely tolerable songs that you listened to whether you liked them or not (if you didn’t have control of the radio in the car).  Sometimes, you even grew to enjoy a few of those songs.  On rare occasions though, you found an entire album, yes the whole thing! that you enjoyed.   For all of us oldies, these albums are near and dear to our hearts.  They vary from person to person, but these are a few I can put on and just let them play, enjoying almost every song:  Van Halen-1984, Blood Sweat and Tears-Greatest hits, Nirvana-Nevermind, George Strait-Strait From The Heart, Muddy “Mississippi” Waters-Live, Art Blakey-Moanin’,  U2-Joshua Tree, Miles Davis-Kind of Blue, Steve Miller Band-Greatest Hits 74-78, IceT-Greatest Hits to name a few of my favorites.
All of these categories are important to a good road trip.  You must have a combination of all of them.  Yeah, I know, all of you XM/Sirius users are claiming that you don’t need any of them.  You got genres on every channel, and all you ever need with all those fancy channels.  To those of you in that camp, I say “HOGWASH!”  Why Hogwash?  Well no matter how specific these channels are, or how much you enjoy the carefree toggling between your favorite genres, no road trip is complete without those irreplaceable, epic, nostalgic songs that nearly blow out your speakers and get your ears ringing whenever you choose to rock them.  And how the hell are you supposed to play these favorites 2, 3, 10 times in a row with your XM radio?!  You can’t. So without further palaver, I’m gonna lay my favorites out and would love to hear some of yours.
Rich’s top 20 Road Trip Jams (if you have any sense, you will build this playlist!-yeah I know it’s not gonna float everyone’s boat but if nothing else, listen to it, you might find some music that you don’t normally dig.)  And for the record, none of these songs ever get bumped off the list, new ones just get added to it occasionally.  As weird as it may be, here is my list:
Honorable Mentions.  These songs get me thinking about all the great road trip songs and my musical wheels start turning.  It’s on when I hear any of these songs.
Runnin on Empty-Jackson Browne, Hello Walls-Faron Young, Blues in Hoss Flat-Count Basie, Night In Tunisia-Ella Fitzgerald, Gimme All Your Love-Alabama Shakes, Miles and Miles of Texas-Asleep at the Wheel, China Grove-Doobie Brothers, Come Down-Anderson Paak, Crosstown Traffic-Jimi Hendrix, El Paso-Marty Robbins, Ida Red-Bob Wills and Sunshine of Your Love-Cream.  Those get me started but here is when it gets real.
20-16  These are like the kindling for me.  Getting the fire lit, and starting my descent into the next hour of driving, without really remembering the road I’ve just driven or the scenes outside the window.
20)  Suavecito-Malo   Ok, Ok, it wouldn’t seem like a fire starter, but...
19)  Magic Man-Heart This one should get your blood flowing
18)  Keep on Rockin’ Me-Steve Miller The best roady to choose from SMB
17)  Watermelon Man-Herbie Hancock You might not have soul if you don’t love this
16)  When My Train Pulls In- Gary Clark JR Great Long Jam.  incredible guitar riffs
11-15  These are a small step up, adding logs to my fire
15)  Me and Mrs. Jones-Billy Paul So there’s always a song that you love to sing while you are alone in your car, and you think you sing it just as well as the artist
14)  Stairway to Heaven-Led Zeppelin Ok so of course I have it, but this is a really, really great song no matter how many times it is played.
13)  Ev’ryday I have the Blues-Count Basie and Joe Williams The definition of a foot stomper.
12)  Luckenbach, TX-Waylon and Willie One of the best country songs translates to a great road song.
11)  The Story- Brandi Carlisle Not a song liable to be on many lists, road trip or not.  My sister introduced me to this years and years ago and it barely misses the top 10
6-10  Ok, we are really cookin with gas now.  These are legendary roadies in my book.  The dog gives me a look, here we go again.
10)  Rooster-Alice In Chains Gets my grunge on.  I love everything about this song.  Probably one of the biggest contributors to hearing loss in my right ear.
9)   Six Days on the Road-Dave Duncan All those over-the-road truckers can’t be wrong, this is the best of all truckin’ songs.
8)   Tonight The Bottle Let Me Down-Merle Haggard   My favorite country singer and a whole lot of my favorite country music instrument, the steel guitar.  Damn I love this song
7)   Ticket To Ride-Beatles There are tons of Beatles songs to choose from and this isn’t my favorite, but it is my favorite on the road
6)   867-5309-Tommy Tutone This is my favorite 80s song.  And when I hear that guitar riff at the beginning...Jenny, Jenny who can I turn to?
2-5  These are huge, the fire is roaring and I have no concerns as to what is going on at this point.  I’ll be singing, playing drums, air guitar.  The dog has now tried to cover his ears due to the volume.
5)   Jamie’s Cryin-Van Halen Im not sure why, because there are tons of Van Halen songs to choose from, but for whatever reason, this one is my favorite while on the road
4)   North To Alaska-Johnny Horton   Ok, another one you may not expect at all but damn this is a fun song.  I physically can’t help whaling “big nuggets they’re finding” every time!
3)   Pink Houses-John Cougar Mellencamp    Im not a globalist. ‘Murica!!
2)   Sweet Child of Mine-Guns and Roses    This should be on everyones list. Road songs or any other.  Simply one of the best songs ever.
Number 1!!!
So all the previous songs are great.  I love them all, and many, many more.  This is an elaborate list for me.  If you know me, you know I love lists, and don’t make them without deep thought.  But Ironically, the battle for the top spot isn’t even close.  I LOVE Sweet Child of Mine, and Pink Houses.  I might play them 2 or 3 times in a row, but the battle for number one isn’t much of a battle.  Not because these others arent great but because number one is so unbelievably spectacular in the car.  I can’t help singing to it, playing air guitar, drum solo in my car, volume literally turned up 3 or 4 times during the song, ears ringing and can’t even hear myself singing, and just when you don’t think it could be any better, it gets better!!!  There are times I may play this song 5, 6 times in a row if things are cookin.  I can barely keep the needle under 85 mph! The number one song for the road is:
1)  More Than A Feeling- Boston  I really built it up, and with good reason. Rock ballad, guitar anthem, unbelievable vocals, harmony soft, loud, louder, high, higher, drums...what else can I say?  This is simply the best road trip song ever!!
Ok, that’s it.  Maybe it was anti-climatic for you, but I got jazzed just listing the songs.  I may go take a drive just to hear the playlist!  I’d love to hear everyone else’s playlist that they take on every trip.  Maybe I’m missing some good road trip songs!
I hope the dog never figures out how to jump out of the car while it’s moving.

GROO THE WANDERER (2022) “Yaaarrgghhhhhhhh! Boneheaded beserker gonna kill uncle who kill daddy. The Lion King. Totally historically accurate... except that gets too boring so Eggers gotta throw some magic in. I guess theres a reason ancient Euro stories always end up being Dungeons & Dragons.. otherwise its... just people (Mace). Look, on principal I love this Dethklok film... but it def seems like the kind of movie I’d see with Gazelles and afterwards we’d all get BBQ and they’d be raving and I’d be internally muting all my negative nitpicking criticism. Just pretend it was as good as you wanted it to be. Well, it got me to go back to the gym finally so thats something.” -Sonny Gazelle  “Hahahahaha! Behold Sonny, the ONE MAN honest enough to see through the hype machine and not be fooled like the rest of us sheep! Nah I’m playing - he's actually correct about this one. Like, it’s like this: Eggers is all about, like historical accuracy and all that, right? And when I watch something like CONQUEST (a better and more enjoyable film), there’s goofy shit like dolphins untying Mace the Barbarian to save his life and we all giggle, right? But then in this harsh blue-grey world of viking brutality, what happens!? FUCKING CROWS UNTIE THE HERO TO SAVE HIS LIFE! So if you’re going do fun silly shit like in CONQUEST, GO AHEAD AND DO MORE FUN SILLY SHIT!!! It starts off with this FRESH raid, but then he’s an undercover slave for 2/3 of the movie! Doing farm work! I’d rather see him wandering the land with AnTaJo and the severed head of Dafoe fighting vampires and Dog-creatures. I dunno. Just my opinion. Objectively very well-made, yes, but I wish all that craft had been channeled towards some THUNDARR THE BARBARIAN jam.” -Tommy Gazelle

10 Cozy Things to Make in July
10 Cozy Things to Make in July
Adventures
Admittedly I missed the whole 10 cozy things to make in June because my life was insane around the end of the month last month and I completely forgot. BUT I’m bizzack with a lil’ round-up of dishes and desserts you should def make in the month of July.
Are you doing anything for the 4th? I’m always confused as to how to celebrate this holiday when it lands smack dab in the middle of the week. And like most freelancers, I’m just working, trying to get everything in order for my life/work.
I am going to a bbq on Friday and still figuring out what to bring. One of these is bound to end up on my to-make list!
Lemon Berry Meringue Trifle – I made every component in this trifle from scrigedy scratch. Do I recommend this? Absolutely not. Just buy the dang pound cake from the store and cube it up and layer it with the curd and whipped cream. And add those fresh berries from the farmer’s market. It’s a dreamy dessert.
Blistered Tomato Shrimp Scampi – Sungold and cherry tomatoes blistered and then tossed into a classic shrimp scampi, inspired by the greatest place on earth: Olive Garden. I made garlic bread, too, that maybe I left in the oven for a bit too long and it got kinda toasty. But it tasted VERY good.
Sabiches – These sandwiches are my jam. I actually like to make it deconstructed for a super healthy option. I like to eat all of the components on a plate—it is literally one of my favorite summer lunches.
Tomato Confit with Burrata and Basil – If you’ve ever wanted to face bunt a bowl of burrata, then this appetizer is for you! Tomatoes slowly roast in olive oil. And then it’s spooned over pesto and burrata. It’s like a beautiful pillow of comfort and acidity and freshness. Summer at its best.
Aperol Spritzes, Every Which Way – There was this New York Times article that came out about how Aperol Spritzes suck and it really shook me to my core because there where else are we supposed to get happiness from?! The world is trash and this brings people happiness—let us live! They’re delightful. I also love straying away from the traditional spritz and shaking it up a bit. Hello!
Grilled Summer Squash Gyros with Herbed Tzatziki – I love my grill (you probably know this by now) and these are ideal for grilled squash. Throw it in the center of a soft pita with lots of herbed tzatziki. It’s glorious and vegetarian.
Aguas Frescas – Hello, if it’s hot this is something you have to make. It’s an absolute must. It couldn’t be more simple and more delicious. I’ve already made exactly five batches of watermelon aqua fresca and this years watermelon is so easy that it requires ZERO sugar. ZERO. So sweet and tasty.
Peach Maple Yogurt Cake – This cake is so pretty. But it’s also V delicious. It’s inspired by summer in Vermont. The cake is yogurt based, giving it this lovely tang. And the sweetness is from maple syrup. Those two go very well with each other. And then peaches!
The Ultimate B.L.T. – Simple things need to be done correctly. This applies to the very simple B.L.T. Every component needs to be bangin’. This means delicious, juicy tomatoes, crisp lettuce and thick-cut bacon. And perfect white bread. It’s simple.
Breakfast Tacos – Is there anything better than a breakfast burrito? Absolutely not. These breakfast tacos take a swift move from the breakfast burrito and apply it to tacos. They have a hash at the base that is SO delicious.

last movie i watched: At home was either across the universe or CA: TFA.  I love having movies on in the background while I write or tumblr or reddit.  In the theatre was Wonder Woman, and it was, ofc, amazing.

last song i listened to: Not sure, but the current mash up in my head is Paramour’s Hard Times, Killer’s The Man, The 1975′s Somebody Else (all of which are on my current kitchen playlist) and Beastie Boys Check it Out (we played Hold ‘Em on Friday, and I always get this song stuck in my head when I play poker. (Incidentally, I had to go back and change the S in Stuck from upper to lower.  This is what Stucky shipping has done to me.)

last book i read: Probably Walk the Earth a Stranger by Rae Carson, though I read snippets of Still Life With Woodpecker recently.  (Peachfish, baby.  Peachfish.)

last thing i ate: Sticky smoked bbq chicken, grilled corn, watermelon slices, bloody mary salad and an IPA.  Sunday dinners are life.
where would you want to time travel to: Def the future, just to see what happens next.  Dystopia is my jam, so I’d be really interested in seeing if/when that comes about, as well as watching the fall of our current empires.

fictional character i would hang out with for a day: This is the meanest question ever.  Maybe Madamam from Atwoods trilogy (we could hide from the rakunks and pigoons, spending our days dreaming of chickie nuggets), or possibly Molly Weasley.  I love to cook and would love to see how magic influences the chemistry/science of food, plus it would be amazing to spend the day feeding the Weasleys and honorary Weaseleys.  Most likely though, I would like to chill with Roland and his ka-tet.  Eddie and Susannah (Odetta/Detta would have no use for me, I’m sure) plus Jake and Oy.  I would hear their campfire stories and follow the path of the beam, and would bring them sugar and paper and bullets.  :)

if i could be anywhere right now, where would i be: The Uffizi
in Florence.  I would commune with Botticelli a bit before slipping away for three inch thick steak cooked over a wood fire, with pappa al pomodoro and a sweet red wine.  The entire city is walkable and when you get off the tourist paths, it’s a whole secret world with gardens and art and beauty literally everywhere you look.  Or maybe just a nice tropical beach where lovely people bring me silly drinks, so I can get day drunk and nap in the sun with the ocean in my ears.
current fandom obsession: Marvel, for sure, but with some low-key Harry Potter love AND I’ll still read twific from my favorite authors when they’re writing.

Kanye West and Kid Cudi Debut Joint Album 'Kids See Ghosts' at Ranch-Themed Listening Party
Kanye West is all about location.
A week after hosting a star-studded listening session for his Ye album in Jackson Hole,Wyoming, the 41-year-old rapper held another ranch-themed event on Thursday, to debut his joint project with Kid Cudi, Kids See Ghosts.
Kim Kardashian West was at the Chicago rapper’s side as he premiered the album during a BBQ soiree in Santa Clarita, California, hours before his 41st birthday. The ranch-style setting appeared to recreate the home-on-the-range atmosphere in Wyoming, complete with freshly grilled burgers, fries, macaroni and cheese, greens and multiple open bars featuring Hennessey cocktails.
New couple Ariana Grande and Pete Davidson, who snuggled and held hands throughout the night, were among the famous faces mingling in the crowd, along with Kourtney Kardashian, Kris Jenner and her boyfriend, Corey Gamble, Courtney Love, Lena Waithe, RZA, Travis Barker, Damon Dash and YG.
In true West fashion, the listening session was shrouded in mystery up until the day of the event. Most guests were instructed to meet over an hour away at assigned parking lots in Hollywood, California, where they were shuttled to the top-secret location on large, white buses. Those who arrived early got first dibs on KSG merchandise, which included long-sleeved shirts, hoodies, blankets and jackets.
But there were some notable glitches, the biggest being a technical issue with the WAV application (which West previously used to debut Ye) delaying the livestream from the listening session by nearly three hours. At around 10:45 p.m., music began blaring through loudspeakers as pink smoke blanketed the air, giving off a ghostly vibe that was a likely homage to the KSG album’s cover art, created by Takashi Murakami.

West and Cudi finally emerged from an abandoned structure flanked by a small crowd and camera crew while a bonfire ranged in front of them. A larger group of invited guests stood down below, making it particularly challenging to catch a clear glimpse of the rap duo.

Despite small missteps during the event, West appeared excited to play the long-delayed collaboration, and Cudi seemed equally giddy. The seven-track album, which includes titles like “4th Dimensions, “Feel the Love,” “Reborn” and a Kurt Cobain sample on “Cudi Montage,” features guest appearances from West’s G.O.O.D. Music artist, Pusha T, Yasiin Bey (formerly known as Mos Def), Ty Dolla $ign and Louis Prima.

Kids See Ghosts is the latest in a slew of new releases from West’s G.O.O.D. Music imprint. In addition to dropping his solo album on June 1, West also executive produced Pusha T’s Daytona LP, and forthcoming releases from Nas and Teyana Taylor, both of which are due out this month.
Watch the video below for ET's exclusive chat with Kardashian West about her husband's new music.
