Dante acts silly as is his method of cope and I know they are twins with literally the same face but idk I feel like if you haven’t seen your brother since you were both like 9 and you have been 100% sure he got slaughtered a whole decade ago you might be more like “Who the fuck are you disturbingly familiar guy” and a little less like “Oh wow my dead twin’s back.” Like maybe just a little bit of denial out of shock. Also why do they both start mutually hating immediately .

#Lol I think in the super best friends playthrough of dmc3 one of them points out that the original dante and vergil rivalry is actually #very poorly defined despite Vergil being arguably the best rival character in video games (😏) and I kind of agree with that but really #it's just odd that they go kind of instantly aggro despite. I mean they literally both grew up alone thinking the other was dead #and Vergil found out otherwise eventually ofc but this is literally THE FIRST THING dante says to his twin brother whose #apparent death traumatized him a decade ago and very clearly still isn't coping well .
