not me listening to i wont say (im in love) from Hercules and thinking about marinette who made a bad deal and is unwillingly having to work with a villain. then having to fight damian/robin and her falling for him outside of the suits.

and also thinking about damian slowly learning more about this girl who has had her life torn apart by this villain and then to top it off theyre about to kill her to succeed in their plans and damian having to hold her while she dies.

we are ten days into december and i have not written anything for daminette december and its not for lack of trying.

im just obsessed with gotham knights atm. i mean i have literally not played anything else in weeks.

the people have spoken, and by people i mean like one other person and myself.

anyways. so.

i have a few ideas about how the rest of the batfam find out about mari.

one:

class trip, a classic. w.e. is hosting a conference for multiple schools around the world.

mari submits an application for her school. mostly at the behest of her classmates.

anyways bruce is the one going over the applications, tim and lucius demanded he actually do some work. so he comes across maris application and likes what he sees.

the class does a lot of community work and he knows about akuma attacks as he was on monitor duty when lb contacted the league.

the jle spoke with lb as well but they cant help as theyre still under contruction after a mission went sideways, again.

when he sees the photo of marinette her freezes bc that is clearly lady shivas daughter. the girl is almost a splitting image of her mother.

not to mention he recognizes her adopted parents as ex-league operatives.

he selects her application as a way to gather information of the girl bc was this a ploy. he knew shiva has turned over a new leaf but was this some ploy to get to cass.

its not, but hed rather be safe than sorry.

so when the class shows up at w.e. he greets them with damian and cassandra. damian bc he needs exposure to the company and cass to read the body language of mari.

cass freezes bc she can see her mother in marinette. she has a sister.

mari and damian see each other and light up. they rush to each other and start talking about how their lives have gone. bruce and cass are shocked as well as everyone else. bc theyve never seen mari be so aggressively friendly.

bruce hears the words godmother talia and is shooketh bc as much as he loved talia he is surprised by her actions. hes still a little bitter about damian being hidden from him.

so he invites marinette to dinner at the manor as a way for damian to catch up with her. and introduce marinette to her siblings.

this is in regards to the second option of how mari meets the rest of the batfam.

so obviously while mari is staying with bruce and the rest of them akuma attack still happen and she has to slip away rather frequently.

the first few times no one thinks anything of it. they think oh, shes in a new environment she just needs some time to adjust to everything. except as time goes on they grow more and more concerned bc theyll go check on her and shes nowhere to be found.

it isnt until she accidentally portals herself into her room while damian is waiting for her that shes found out.

damian is shocked bc his best friend is a heroine. and he didnt even know about it.

he drags mari out by the arm into the family den and tells the rest of the family about his discovery. jason promptly freaks out bc his baby sister is supposed to be safe, shes not supposed to be mixed up in all the hero drama and angst.

cass is rather level headed and she sees the anxiety start to bubble in her sister and immediately hugs her to her chest to try and ground marinette.

mari is squished against cass and silently freaking out while damian and jay are ranting to bruce about helping out in paris. dick and tim are confused about the entire situation bc of the cacophony of noise coming from the two of them. steph is flipping shit bc the baby is in danger almost everyday. bruce is trying to calm down the damian and jay. babs is already researching everything going down in paris. duke, harper and cullen have finally walked into the room and froze bc its basically that scene from community.

alfred is the only one with a braincell. who has everyone shut up and sit down.

my bastard of a brother @tv-zombie-blog said something about wanting cass and mari as sisters and now i have an idea for it. so buckle up motherfuckers.

so obviously we know lady shiva, badass extraordinaire, sandra wu-san, mother of the absolute beautiful cassandra cain. who beat her mother in a fight. so shes a bamf.

but what if she later had another child, our beautiful baby girl, the cutest smol bean marinette dupain-cheng?

im not sure who the baby daddy is yet. could be david cain again. but who knows. anyways.

shiva kinda turns over a new leaf. bc lets face it dc hates women, especially woc. the demonization of talia al ghul is proof of that.

so she decides she cant raise baby mari and gives her up. she does so to ensure that she grows up happy and healthy, with a slim chance of living in danger.

so lets say she has contact with an ex league assassin, sabine cheng. she gives sabine marinette to raise in a safe environment.

thats all i have at the moment.
