i think part of my fondness for the jurassic world trilogy stems from the fact that -- and i get that this is a controversial stance for some reason -- at least those movies are better than jurassic park 2 & 3, yeesh

#and i actually find the lost world pretty fun i guess #but like ... the first movie is Cinema and none of the others are Cinema and that's okay #but let's not pretend the original trilogy is like overflowing with goodness after the first movie #am kinda half-watching movie 3 right now and it's so schlocky #the fact that no action really even happens in jp1 until like 45 minutes in is such a power move #that no other movie in this series has ever replicated #getting to know the characters for a looooong time before the action starts in jp1 is why it is perfect and a masterpiece #you CARE when they start getting torn apart by dinosaurs! #dollsome's deep thoughts #anyway i'm still on my fictional dinosaur bender #i am trying to write one (1) sappy fanfic and then become calm
