‘it’s foreshadowing for what’s going to happen with luka’ cool, but yo, ephemeral already had the grandest display of foreshadowing when ladybug was like ‘someone can’t know both heroes identities it’s Not Safe’ to luka who, indeed does know both heroes identities, and ever since that moment i have accepted they might just kill him.

[ untitled, 10:41 pm ]
jay park loathed you.
the moment you walked inside the room, sporting an all too familiar grin and eyes full of mischief, contrasting to your perfectly assembled uniform and backpack slung on one shoulder, jay park knew you were trouble. normally, jay would go and mind his own business when new people came to his school, tending to his wounds and bruises he got from saving people, but you, you were all too familiar.
the way your eyes met his and you broke into a smile. that smile, that can't be…. jay's train of thought came to an abrupt end when he heard your voice. "hi, i'm (name), i hope we get along well." jay's eyes widened. you…. you were his enemy! you were the villain he's been trying to catch for months! you catch his eye again as you settled down beside a brown haired kid named jisung, and gave him a smirk, the glint in your eyes sending shivers down his spine. he recognizes you, you recognize him. that damn mask didn't even do anything, he mutters to himself.
so yeah, jay park loathed you.
but he can't get you out of his head.
in the morning and afternoon, you were an ordinary school girl making fun of her seatmate's quirky antics and unique personality, but in the evening, you make his life a living hell. you were smart, jay would give you that. you were always one step ahead of him. always one step ahead of him that he limps, has bruises and wounds all over his body as he walks to school.
but you, you were too beautiful to be his sworn enemy, a villain per se. your angelic face making him distracted with his schoolwork, and now distracting him on how to win this silly game you decided to play tonight.
and now it was one of those nights, you and him facing each other on top of a building, with him stopping your plans and you pushing his buttons. you tilt your head as you chuckled at him, the ticking time bomb already activated in your hands. "tired mr. hero of seoul city?" he huffs at this and lunges at you again but you ducked and kicked his back, making him stumble and fall down to the ground, nose first. "come on jay, you were better before." he eyes you before wiping the blood from his nose. "shut up (name), just hand over the bomb, we have a test for biology tomorrow, we—i have to study." you shook your head, "it takes two to tango superman, now come on, don't make me wait!" you threw the bomb down before leaping off the building, your body floating, waiting for him to come down and get you. but he doesn't, instead he takes the bomb and finds the nearest lake and dumps it there and goes home.
jay doesn't even go to school the next day. or the next, or even the next few months. to you, this was heart wrenching, not seeing your nemesis in the same room, but your classmates seemed to be unfazed by this. the countless times you started shit up, waiting for jay to stop you but were only met by angry officers telling you to quit it.
you don't see him until you stopped doing evil things and have graduated high school. you were busy scanning through the sea of people talking in front of you when you see him, his hair was now dyed black and it hangs perfectly before his eyes. you crossed your arms and waited for him to notice you and he did. he's taken aback when he sees you, his enemy that he once wanted to put behind bars so bad.
"i missed you," was the first thing you say when you approached him. "you disappeared." he nods, stuffing his hands in the pockets of his jeans. "well, being a superhero messed with my mental health, i didn't want to do it anymore." you smiled apologetically at him. "well, i stopped messing around. it wasn't fun fighting with the cops, it was better if it was you." he scoffs. "what? it's true! they don't tell me to fuck off before leaving!" he shakes his head. "you're cute when you're upset jay," you say, pinching his cheeks. he swats your hand away, "you're annoying (name)." you shrug. "wanna get coffee after the orientation ends?" you blurt out before he slips away from your grasp. he eyes you before nodding, "sure but no monkey business okay? i know you." you give him a salute before telling him to get both of you seats on the now almost full auditorium.
jay park loathed you, but sometimes he thinks, he never really did. well, he really did, but after seeing you after months of him disappearing, maybe, just maybe, he'll learn to like you too.
