About Other JOJOLands Translations

Dogpark and I started working together on translations over a year ago, when CDDH began. I've been aware of his history with Hi Wa Mata Noboru, the Jojo translation group that did most of JJL, since then. Dogpark sums up exactly what makes certain members of HWMN (not all of them!) bad actors when it comes to handling early leaks and, more importantly, other translations in this blog post. There's no excuse for the behavior HWMN has shown in the past towards Dogpark and its utter lack of acknowledgment even today. I have also personally seen some harassment from a member, but nothing on the same level.

Please do not take this as some outright call for people to stop reading HWMN. The more interpretations a work can have, the better it is for readers and the fanbase as a whole. But translation groups have a duty to properly handle the information they're given and to conduct themselves professionally. I hope that I'm succeeding in that task as the translator of We Need More Yankiis, and I hope that HWMN and its members improve their own behavior.

Professional behavior includes not releasing translations before the release date in Japan. This is not only something extremely frowned upon by the scanlation community, but also something that can cause major legal trouble. I strongly advise against reading any material that comes out before midnight JST, as groups releasing that early are unlikely to have quality in mind when going for such rushed releases.

There's already a ton of election software or websites with names corresponding to "voting buddy" or similar

but I'd like a term for a person or group you've made an agreement with to each support and enable the other to vote. A source of mutual encouraging reminders (and maybe mild guilt about not meeting an expectation)

Any and all suggestions welcome. It would be great if there was a catchy name so this could become an accepted Thing

I just saw a very sad and unwell-looking pigeon huddled in a corner so I approached it in an effort to maybe get it some water and nutrients (carefully! from a distance! only the raisins I looked up on multiple pages on whether they're safe!) and the little guy flew off in a fright (not very far)

At which point an entire flock descended on me.

Honestly can't say for sure whether they were there for the raisins (they didn't seem that focused on the) or for protection (considering I saw some land on it and peck at its feathers...) but either way. What an experience

#Raisins are safe for birds but only as a treatin small amounts #and you shouldn't leave them lying about where cats or dogs can get at them #so if I'm feeding the crows close by the dogpark at work I pick up anything the birds didn't eat #also pigeons apparently need a deeper dish of water. Also that one was absolutely terrified so I ended up leaving it alone #birds #chaos rambles

UPDATE FOR THE DOGPARK ANON WHEREVER YOU ARE: asked bruce about where people can watch the movie since it's not on streaming anywhere (tho i did find a place you can pirate it but that's beside the point). he said he definitely has a dvd somewhere and could definitely transfer it to digital if he finds it, which he could put on his youtube channel or if it gets copyright claimed he could just let me email people a bruce-approved download link
