More Raine Whispers Violin Headcanons

Because y'all loved the first time I did this.

(Also some of the teacher hcs may or may not be my own self-projections)

As a teacher, Raine would be so nervous trying to correct their students when they made a mistake, because they didn't want to hurt anybody's feelings.

Raine would sit and think for HOURS about the interactions that they had with their students' parents, wondering whether or not they made a good impression.

There has been a time or two where Raine has had to stop playing during self-practice in order to scream into a pillow because music can SUCK sometimes.

Once Raine and Eda attempted to play a difficult duet with eachother, and the ONE time that they were able to do a run through without messing up, Eda got tired and started playing the Thomas the Tank Engine theme song on her part instead.

Raine is a genius when it comes to every aspect of music theory, except time signatures mess them up so bad.

Since Raine's bow appears to be modeled after bows in the baroque period, I can imagine a situation like this happening-

Eda: "Look, you can carry it around like a little purse."

Raine: "Haha that's so neat! But please don't ever EVER do that again-"

Raine has also studied around with fiddle music, but they won't ever tell you that.

"Can I leave now?" Became a common phrase with them at concerts.

Raine actually loves having painted/styled nails, but due to the finger abuse they have to endure because of their violin, they can't ever get their nails done without them chipping/getting too long. So anytime they know they will be going on vacation for a while, they scramble to the nail salon.

Conductor: "Why don't you want to go on stage?"

Raine: "They were all looking at me-"

Conducter: "Well, they are the audience, so. that's kind of the point."

Raine: *plays a single note wrong*

Raine: "I'm here to announce that I am officially leaving the Bard Coven. There is no hope for me here- YES I'M BEING SERIOUS THIS TIME-"

Raine loves to compose their own original pieces, but adding lyrics makes them so frustrated.

Raine, at one point in time, decided to allow Eda to write the lyrics for one of their original songs. ....Eda is no longer allowed to write lyrics for any of the songs.

In a human au, Raine would be OBSESSED with TwoSet Violin.

Human!Raine: "I just think they're neat"

Human!Eda: "You've been sitting here for 4 hours watching this single youtube channel. It's time to make dinner-"

Raine once broke a string right before a concert, and they will vehemently insist that it was singlehandedly the most terrifying experience of their life. (Up until Kikimora of course)

Raine has perfect pitch and can identify the notes being played from anything like other instruments to the slam of a door.

Raine can get highkey critical of other songs, and half of the time Eda hardly understands what in Titan's name are they talking about.

Raine: "I really wish they had chosen a different selection of instruments to accompany the melody. I feel like the trumpet really kills the tone the artist was trying to aim for."

Eda: "I DONT EVEN HEAR A TRUMPET IN THIS SONG??? 😟"

When they were teens, Raine tried to teach Eda how to read sheet music....... It went just as well as you're thinking.

Raine: "So an easy way to understand the note names and where they fall within the lines and spaces is by making fun little acronyms to help you remember!! For example, here we have Every-Good-Boy-Does-Fine on the line for E G B D and F! That's the most standard one to use, but you're free to come up with you're own!"

Eda: "Hmmm....... Every-Great-Bitch-Does-Felonies."

Raine: "...............If that helps you remember the best!"

One time Raine and Lilith teamed up together as kids to make a history of music project for school.

Raine grimaces everytime the weather forecast calls for humidity because of how out-of-tune their violin gets.

Conductor: "Time to go on stage, Whispers."

Raine: "Hold on, I need to make a sacrifice to the Titan first-"
