the more one learns about old school queer discourse the less one should participate in modern queer discourse

#we've done all of this before #the line between 'this person is making up their identity/oppression/whatever' and #'my experience is wholly unrelatable to the experience of anyone without this identity' does exist #and both talking points exist to keep us apart #like no the queer experience is not the same for everyone #but it is also true that the overlap in our negative experiences is so massive that #idk im always frustrated by the very hardline views when we have record of how long this infighting has gone on over the same stuff #and how much *that* makes our movement weaker #not orientations or genders you don't quite get or a failure to define the differences in what each of us goes thru #idk i think we just need to talk to each other more instead of speaking into the internet ether #talking to each other directly reminds us that we're all real and going thru something that we can relate to or sympathize with #peace and love on the queer planet earth #vic van dyke shit
