HAPPY BLOG ANNIVERSARY!

it's  officially  midnight  here,  which  means  i'm  allowed  to  post  this!  so ...  happy  one  year  anniversary  of  enduring  the  plague  of  avalon  upon  your  dashboards!  alternatively,  thank  you  so  much  for  giving  me  a  place  to  babble  about  my  #1  favorite  comfort  character  who  has  experienced  zero  comfort.  (  i  swear  i  am  being  SO  NORMAL  about  this.  yes i did literally buy  cake  and  party  hats.  )  whether  we  speak  on  the  daily,  you've  just  gotten  here  or  anywhere  in  between,  i  want  to  extend  my  sincerest  gratitude  for  being  on  this  absolutely  wild  ride  of  a  blog  with  me.  there's  been  ups  and  downs,  but  ultimately  i  feel  like  my  passion  for  writing  has  been  ignited  stronger  than  it's  ever  been  before.  i  am  still  always  so  excited  whenever  i  get  the  chance  to  log  on  here  and  create  stories  with  all  of  you  —  and  i  wouldn't  have  that  opportunity  if  it  wasn't  for  this little  corner  of  the  internet  you've  helped  make truly special.

there  are  so  many  of  you  i  feel  lucky  to  have  met.  (  and  so  many  i  would  love  to  get  to  know  better,  too!  )  i  hope  we  can  continue  writing  together  for  many  more  anniversaries  to  come.  and  if  the  day  ever  comes  that  they  finally  pull  the  plug  on  this  cockroach  of  a  hellsite,  i'll  forever remember  this  community  as  the  rpc  that  got me to  laugh  at  petrichor.

Dash Event: The Contest of Strife

TV screen across multi-verse went silent or were suddenly turned on. Radio stations were whiched to different channel an announcement was made:

"WELCOME ONE AND ALL TOOO:

Suddenly a flashy man in red suit came into view on the screens. This man had a pink pompadour and OUTRAGE glasses on while holding a golden mircophone. "GOOD EVENING/MORNING/AFTERNOON TO MANY BEINGS OF MULTI-VERSE. We have such a treat for you all HERE today."

He smirked as twirl the golden mircophone in his hands. "The higher ups as they like to call themselves. Seek enterainment so we have gather today some of GREATEST being across the dimisions. These beings will be locked into FIGHT to death STRIPPED of all their godly or ungodly powers. FORCED to combat as mere-mortals. ALL for sake our contest.

THE CONTEST OF STRIFE." Rave lights hower the screen as stage appeared under this strange man.

"I am HUMBLE The Announcer. Ringermaster of these games and spokesmen for....THE HIGHER UPS. Please stay tuned as next up we will be announcering the team make ups and INTRODUCING THEM."

Meet Earl (the Squirrel)!

Earl was originally a mascot for Team Members at Universal Orlando Resort and was transformed into a park holiday mascot in 2020! (Two depictions of Earl above, left by @b00haus and right by @deathprocession)

Picking him up as a muse started as a joke between friends but he quickly became dear to me. He's a seasonal muse that I only write during Universal's holiday celebrations- November through December- because during the rest of the year he reverts back to squirrel form! He's a trickster god of capitalist winter holiday celebration, mercantile, and the typical hustle & bustle of the time of year. He finds himself growing in power every year as Christmas comes earlier and earlier.

Every season, he opens a tree farm and has since expanded it to include a store with everything you could possibly need for the holidays (at a price). The store is mostly run by his squirrels but he's happy to employ anyone in need of work (above, left is Dale-dolph. Additionally his righthand woman is his secretary, Ms. Martha May, below, character & art courtesy of Wolf)!

On one last note before going to nap, there's been something in my mind lately that for the sake of transparency I want to share. Sometimes I struggle with guilt for being unable to provide to everyone the same quality of writing equally, even more so these days when I'm busier. Which in turn blocks me from writing even with who I'm closest due to this guilt. So in order to get out from this kind of writing slump, I'm announcing that for the time being I'll focus my limited time (be it due to energy levels, business or something else that unfortunately doesn't depend on me) on those I talk with the most, either OOC wise or plotted with. Part of the reason why is because being the character Dain is, it's admittedly hard to come up with interesting ideas that work both ways for too many characters, sadly. And this would have greater chances of success via plotting, but I'm also aware that not everyone can due to their circumstances, which is okay. So this is where I'll be drawing my line, as there is as much that I can do and it's better than doing nothing at all.
