God, I want to be a peer support specialist and work in a peer respite so bad, but there's no trainings in my state that work with my schedule :[

#also... some of the states I want to move to don't have peer respites at all #I would love to get a team together to organize one in Minnesota if we moved there but that would take years #and im sick of working for the mainstream mental health system because of how authoritarian it is towards people #but i also love working in mental health because i love helping people and being an advocate for them so i don't just want to QUIT #plus i uh. need a job and health insurance and shit so i'm just going to deal with this as long as i can put up with it #affordable trans friendly states that have peer respites: PA and VT and NH and NY (buffalo not nyc lol nyc is not affordable at all) #cali has a ton but that's obviously out of the question for a myriad of reasons
