the problem with dixon tim-steph is that it's written by dixon but it's also really the only time that tim-steph is actually kind of interesting (to me)

#sorry i don't hate tim-steph let me be clear even if i ultimately don't ship them too much #i actually find their messiness in the dixon era very interesting to dissect & very realistic for 14/15 year olds #trying out their first relationships & learning how to be in a relationship #steph and her determination to ignore that a guy she likes already has a girlfriend & her inability to regard ari at all #tim and his culpability in. letting the whole steph thing happen bc things are messy with ari #despite some attempts by him to stop it #just the overall messy & mean way they each treat the other once they're finally formally dating #anyways it's leagues above lewis (sorry. they were certainly. better to each other. but it was far more boring.) #(and that was also a subpar tim and a subpar steph & lewis just had tim tweeing over steph the way fitz has tim twee over bernard in tdr #(so.) (don't make me bust out my lewis run & tdr are similar in all the ways that weaken the story post) (actually i might.) #anyways the thing is that there's so much there in dixon dynamic wise that's like. i don't like those dynamics in things i ship #but it was interesting at least <3
