resi officially cancelled.... just feeling really fucking shitty that we got a resi show that was emotionally grounded and had a nuanced and predominantly non-white cast and six weeks later they announced it's cancelled which means they probably decided a or two week ago so not even actually six weeks.

#six fucking weeks to hit some arbitrary 'hours watched' target. six! weeks! that's NOTHING #that it released so close to st probably didn't help. not to mention the absolutely ridiculous amount of racist hate it got #i think i found two professional reviewers whose criticisms didn't boil down to 'i am uncomfortable when we are not about me' #i shouldn't be shocked that almost nobody picked up that hey. most negative fan reviews were extremely racist and sexist and #clearly were not written by ppl who watched the show/had watched one ep in order to tear it apart #i just feel like crap about this bc i went in with low expectations and they were wildly exceeded and i was really excited for s2 #i'm so fucking sick of being a fan of things with predominantly white male fandoms
