28 and/or 37 for the OC questions!
28. Your most dangerous OC?
Shard. Absolutely Shard. Power and potential for danger aren't strict hierarchies, especially when dealing with weird extradimensional entities, but... yeah they're on the dangerous side even among other eldritch beings. Being a whole sapient universe that feeds off other universes to live will do some things to your reputation. (They work a bit like a virus and a bit like several types of parasites combined together. And then they're trying to be a good and friendly person in spite of. all that. It's a bit of a struggle.)
I'd give the most dangerous ones for each world/continuity I made up to put these guys in, but "world-destroying eldritch parasite" is. a bit of a tough bar to clear even if said entity shows an abundance of restraint.
Also for the record Shard can be in a universe without doing any real harm to said universe. They can pull off some supernatural stuff as well while still not harming the fabric of reality or the people around them too much, though at times they do need to be really really careful to not mess things up.
37. Introduce an OC who is not quite human
I have very few ocs who are completely human tbh. But one who's more... on the edge between human and not is one Dr. Emery Lloyd, whom I haven't done anything major with this whole literal year somehow.
He used to be a normal-ish human, albeit one who used some unusual magic. After a magic-related experiment with one of his colleagues went awry, he ended up somewhere between alive, dead, and undead, and a body made up of a lot of parts that weren't originally his. There's a massive hole in his memory around the time of the experiment, and the colleague he worked with reports something similar (not that they've had the chance to talk since it happened). So long story short he really doesn't have a clue how it happened.
Between him being undead-ish and the fact that his magic is on the "easy to use in some really fucked-up ways" side, he has to keep some special enchantments on him to not set off alarm bells for anyone who can even subconsciously sense magic.
(Said magic is a particular flavor of "biomancy" which is already not the main healing magic in the setting and I'm not explaining more because this is already long)
Anyway he works as a healer and refuses to physically harm anyone else unless there is literally no other course of action that wouldn't be far far worse. Quite frankly what he thinks he'll do if he even thinks about hurting someone else (in like. Any form) is both not accurate and probably not good for his mental health.
Unfortunately for him he ends up in situations where it is really really hard to be a pacifist.
(Okay I talked a lot about him given that I don't even write stuff with him in it and will likely continue to not do so)
