the thing is i rly adore adult characters in kids cartoons that are kinda left to develop in the background but still have some fucky romance stuff going on, but i also want more of them?

and to get that, i should probably watch an adult show where baaaasically the same characters would be fucking on screen.

but something about losing the context of them being in a kids cartoon with no spotlight ruins it for me???

#txt #i think the solution is i need more cartoons that focus on adults #OR kids cartoons to run for more than 2.5 seasons total so there's time to give me enough content for those adults #that it actually feels like they've gotten the screentime equivalent of a single episode dedicated to them #after 9 seasons of existing in the background #but it has to be like.... in proportion to the rest of the show #which ALSO sucks for me bc so many times i'll see a rly appealing ship but the actual show it's from is so bad #and bad shows r bad but bad KIDS shows are another level of unbearable (as an adult... watching them j;klsdsf) #it's different when it's a genuinely amazing cartoon that just happens to have this as a feature #but i am finding so many ships from tumbble as my intro to a cartoon #but the actual show would make me want to chew glass due to badly handled kid plots taking up 90% of the show #because. it is. a kids cartoon j;klskdflk. #but at the same time i don't want the adults to get TOO much focus bc then it's not as interesting either a;jlksdkljjfk #finding ships that actually hit that rly weird balance in kids shows is so difficult man #at least i'll always have fanvids to fill me in on these things i guess #it's a weird window of appeal to be stuck with but at least it breeds great fanworks when they give u Just enough
