I don't really relate to the posts that are like "I love whump and hurt/comfort bc I want to watch my favorite character suffer." Personally I want to watch my favorite character be happy and loved and grow as a person.

I want to watch my second-favorite character suffer.

#sorry reigen #sorry stan #like yes i absolutely get the catharsis of intense hurt/comfort #but it's gotta be someone i have a little distance from #the fact that a bunch of my favorite characters are kids contributes but doesn't explain it entirely #(i don't read lotr fic but if anyone hurt sam gamgee i would cry) #anyway. this is why i am able to form strong mutualistic relationships with ppl who like to throw whump at their faves #i can appreciate it while *my* favorite is protected
