#mae overshares #so i caved in and bought hades the supergiant game 3 days ago and played it once per day since #the first. like. four hours or so was a fucking BLAST. i haven't been so excited to play something for such a long time #although i messed with my keyboard control at first and fucked shits up so bad i was dashing backward #my dumbass was trying to use the hollow//knight controls on this game where there is not even a jump option in this game #two of the first five attempts probably shouldn't count because i died from not going where i was supposed to go #but i switched everything back to default and re-learn the lesson that the default keyboard control is always the best control #after the first fours hours. i got stuck on Meg's boss fight. it was embarrassing because it wasn't even that hard #i got to asphodel and then IMMEDIATELY died to random i-don't-even-know-what-yet #but im at peace with it because today i learn that elysium is the third biome im going to after asphodel #i have been saving these sweet sweet nectars for patroclus. im trying to do that quest/favour for achilles (and patroclus) #(ok fine thanatos is at elysium too apparently but this is the first game with rpg elements where i DON'T care abt romances) #i already maxed out on nectars for achilles. and orpheus isn't even here yet. he and patroclus are the only npcs whose quest i want to do #(i gave at least one nectar to npcs i just absolutely love even though their keepsakes sucks ex. styx. but i dont care abt their favours) #(skully is the only one i gave a nectar too cause i thought his keepsake was good--it was not. also isn't he a undertale character lmao) #when i gave achilles the fifth nectar this dude thought my man zag here was trying to hit on him........ #i thought he knew that my man zag here sees him as a father figure. i just hate that he even brought that up as a possibility #there is at least one other way for achilles to bring up patroclus in conversations smh #i guess we weren't close enough for him to KNOW that zag only sees him as a father figure. zag's response is pretty ambiguous too #did the devs think some players would meet achilles and would want to Hit That? imagine not knowing about patroclus. couldn't be me #anyways both the meg boss fight and the above nonsense bummed me out a bit but now that i got to asphodel #im picking up the momentum again. i just hope that i don't have to fight mag AGAIN (after beating her the first time) on my way back #i honestly dont have anything super interesting to say but i really wanted to talk abt this game cause i like it so much!
