tumblr becomes half uninhabitable when you decide you will not listen to people whose depth and breadth of knowledge is unevidenced at best

#someone could have been spitting mad facts but they said something that to me read as 'i know nothing about any global conflicts- #-untaught in history class' while trying to convey their message and i immediately disregarded the whole thing #most people don't know what they're talking about but are 100% confident they do #and of course i'm guilty but thankfully NOT IN MAKING ANY ONLINE POSTS THAT REACH THOUSANDS OF PEOPLE!!! #and regarding the first tag i'm not even very knowledgable at all but just knowing a bit was able to tell me this person can't- #-verify their own statement assuming they would have integrity in doing so #what makes you someone worth listening to? being a person like anyone else is not enough #your half-baked opinions are not automatically worthy of being read you have to have credibility and as far as i can tell nobody here- #-has much of that at all
