Summary: In a world where the rise of Voldemort never occurred, Wizarding society has found new ways to repress and exclude those they consider outsiders. Hermione Granger attends Hogwarts as one of the few Muggle-born students and despite her efforts to make a place for herself, her future seems set in stone, until Sixth Year, when the Triwizard Tournament is announced and everything begins to change.

“Bloody hell,” Ron says from beside her. “I think that blond tosser in the front is a Malfoy.”

She tears her eyes away to stare at Ron. “A who?”

He laughs and points at the blond boy. “Malfoy. I dunno his first name, but he’s definitely got to be a Malfoy. Old pureblood family from here in Britain. Bastards, the lot of them. Always Slytherins here at Hogwarts. Heard his dad sent him to Durmstrang because he didn’t want his son near any Muggle-borns.”

She probably wouldn’t have even heard the muttered words if her ears were still pinned, he said it so quietly. She whirled and found that Malfoy had gone spectacularly red.

“Th-the ears,” he said, “are cute. I’m not — I just mean your ears. Not you.”

Do I really like men or do I like men written by women? Everytime I see that on tiktok I think of you ahaha

It’s fascinating to compare male sex/romantic fantasy in literature vs female. I think it was someone on twitter that said, men objectify women and women personify men and it’s so true.

Female writers are like: a man with complex feelings and a tragic past who perceived me as a person and enjoys giving oral sex because he values my pleasure as much as his own. And male writers are like: she was a bodaciously bodied woman whose breasts rose up to greet me like two cocker spaniels. Did she have thoughts? I do not imagine so, but I did not care for I was hypnotized by the lurid thickness of her eyelashes and her Amazonian thighs.
