A road trip with Caspar Lee was, to put it lightly, a nightmare of epic proportions. He couldn't go more than an hour without whining about literally anything there was to complain about, he constantly moaned and groaned because his legs were in his own words 'too long for this shit'; but worst of all, was the fact that he never let a song finish before finding a better one and changing it.
You were driving, of course, and Caspar had called dibs on the AUX cord, and so there wasn't really anything you could do but glare at the car in-front of you and tighten your grip on the steering wheel when he'd squeal and change the song you'd been enjoying forty seconds before it ended. It was infuriating, to say the least, and you'd been temped to snatch the cord from him a number of times, but you simply took a deep breath and kept reassuring yourself that there was only a few hours left before you stopped off at a hotel for the night.
"How long until we're there?" Caspar asks, for what seemed like the twentieth time in the past ten minutes.
You groan and look up at the satnav. "Thirty minutes, you wanna start vlogging again so you have some footage of the journey?"
He nods and smiles at you gratefully, silently thanking you for reminding him as he fished his camera out of his bag and fiddled with the settings for a moment, making sure everything was in place before he started to record. "Hello everyone, it's been three hour since you last saw us, and we're currently thirty minutes away from our first stop, right babe?" He asks, turning the camera toward you.
You nod, but don't take your eyes off of the road. "Yep, we're stopping off at a hotel for the night and then tomorrow Caspar's going to drive, seeing as I did seven hours today, he can do seven hours tomorrow." You smirk, and Caspar nods sadly. "I'm so bored, you guys have no idea."
"Am I not good enough company for you?" Caspar pouts, and you laugh, glancing over at him and winking playfully as he turns the camera back towards himself and begins to explain more about the purpose of your trip.
It was a shame really, because Joe and Jack and even Oli were supposed to be here with you two, it'd been an arranged trip since back in December when you expressed your love for Scotland. But things had come up, their schedules had suddenly filled up, and they were all devastated that they couldn't come. You insisted that you didn't want to go w without them, but after a few days of them convincing you that they wouldn't be mad and wanted you to enjoy yourself, you reluctantly agreed.
You and Caspar had been doing on and off for two years, but for the past six months your relationship had been stronger than ever. He'd finally taken the time to sit down with you and discuss everything that'd needed to be addressed since you began dating. The boys all found your relationship hilarious, especially since they had no idea whether you'd be inseparable or simply hate eachother; but that was just how your relationship worked.
A roadtrip was something you'd been dreaming of your years, ever since you were young, really. And even though Caspar was annoying, and gods did you wish you could just reach over and kiss him until he couldn't talk anymore, but you couldn't exactly do that whist going eight miles per hour on a motorway. He was wearing a typical Caspar outfit, a loose grey shirt and his pair of where's wall pyjama bottoms, which only now began to make sense to you. You'd decided to wear a simply pair of skinny jeans and an oversized sweater, and you were hella uncomfortable.
You hum along to the music quietly as he continued to talk about your upcoming adventures, and the smile on your face gradually grows wider as each mile passes. You'd always loved driving, but this was the first long journey you'd ever driven, and you absolutely hated it. The drive from London to Brighton was the furthest you'd ever driven, and this was a whole lot longer than that.
When the satnav lady gave you your next direction, one that would surely take you off of the motorway, you squealed excitedly and Caspar laughed at you, putting away the camera and resting his hand on your inner thigh. You glance over at him and smile softly, and he reciprocates immediately. "I'm sorry for being annoying. You should've consulted with Joe first, he knows how much of an ass I am in the car."
You roll your eyes and glance into your mirrors as you change lanes, getting ready to make your exit. "Babe, it's fine. You could be the most annoying person in the world and make me want to slap the shit out of you, but I cant think of anyone better to be on a road trip with."
He 'awh's' loudly, holding hid hand up to his heart and making you giggle as you glance over your shoulder for a second before turning on the indicator and taking the exit. "I'm so glad that you still love me even after this trip."
"Dont speak too soon, you little shit, we still have seven and a half hours to go yet; and trust me, there's no way I'm gonna make your leg easy for you." You snort, glancing over at him and winking, causing him to huff and fold his arms over his chest childishly. "Hey, don't worry Casp, I'm sure you won't mind when I play Royalty on repeat for the entire journey."
You couldn't see his reaction, seeing as you were too focused on the roundabout you were currently driving around, but you were almost ninety percent sure that he'd turned to stare at you with sheer horror in his eyes.
You could hardly wait to see the look on his face when he realises that you weren't joking.
