I just... okay let's talk about Kylo Ren and Rey. Firstly I would like it on record that NO ONE IS GOOD ENOUGH FOR REY. No. One. But here are my thoughts on the bulshit since everyone wants to talk about this, but only through shipping goggles and I'm not here for it.

Firstly, Padme was my first real gay love and Anakin is too close to my heart and soul for me to not be a fuckin pansy ass sucker for some good wholesome Panakin part II. But this ain't that and I'd appreciate if this fandom would stop saying it is because stop.

Secondly, I don't ship it, but I want to see it succeed. I'm tired of Kylo either being big bad or a sick love puppy. The thing is like I am here for how much he obviously cares about Rey and her growth. But I am also here for Rey not letting that get to her unless he starts understanding her outside of how raw powerful she is. He straight up doesn't right now, and that's my problem. I want to believe he can be a good person again, and I want that to come through Rey taking that chance bc gooooods am I a sucker for that shit. I mean that is what happened with Luke and Anakin and like mmmmmm good filling wholesome content.

Thirdly, why is it when a white boy is on screen and gives 2 seconds of shit about a white girl, y'all turn it into a ship war. Gods I hate ships. Platonic love and platonic care exist, and can exist without everyone fighting over this. Really the story here is that this guy is a piece of shit, and he might have half decent intentions, but he makes bad choices that hurt a lot of people, and isn't gonna be saved or changed because he is in love. Anakin loved Padme more than his life and reputation, but that didn't save her or him. What saved Anakin was Luke giving half a second thought about his dad, and that's what I'm thinking matters here. Not romance, maybe not even friendship, just caring that another person has been through some shit but can be better. So can we stop the ship war? Can we stop making shipping so important that you have to choose a side or else you are lying to yourself? Can we maybe let the crew of this move forward where they want it to?

TL;DR Kylo Ren has potential for some good storyline, but I don't trust him. He isn't Anakin. This ship war is dumb and like literally all ship wars it insults the narrative. I'm so tired of the posts and feeling like I need to pick a side. Rey is too good for all y'all.
