That finale was actually so good. The second chances song was amazing I already know I’m going to have it playing on repeat. I was sad that EJ called off the date and Gina was crying (not surprised but I just wanted them to be happy) but I did love the Gina/Nini bonding. I’m glad they sorted Portwell out but they frEAKING CUT OFF THE KISS. honestly I was hoping for more of a declaration of their feelings and it seemed a bit rushed but they still got together so I guess I’ll take what I can get. I’m also here for this love triangle between miss jenn/Benjamin/mike and for how it will play out next season. And it looks like next season will take place during the summer and ugh I’m excited! Hopefully they actually do hsm 2 and we actually get good covers of the songs

Overall I didn’t like this season as much as the first but I am happy with how it turned out. I feel like it was kinda pointless to have them do all this bc of the awards and then just drop out of them but oh well

Oh my god, I totally just realized something. In the season 2 episode “Treasure hunt.” the boys find Jeremy under a pier, and when they ask him why he’s there, he says that that’s his new place, and when Steven asks “Why underneath the pier?” Jeremy responds with “When my friend Parker fell on some hard times earlier this year, this is where he came for solace and comfort, and I thought I would do the same.” Now, later on in “My dad’s new girlfriend.” when we finally see Parker after he is resurrected in “Day of the dead dude.”, the first thing he does is go straight to under the pier, where he runs in to Jeremy. Just watching it straight up without looking too into it, it seems pretty weird and random that he goes there specifically and also just so happens to run in to Jeremy, but after hearing and remember what Jeremy had said in “Treasure hunt.” and then seeing this happen, it just brings a whole new layer of deepness and emotional value to the scene scene. Jeremy really misses his friend and, knowing that under the pier was a place that brought him [Parker] comfort, he [Jeremy] decides to go there to not only try to comfort himself from the loss of his friend, but to do it in a way that will bring him closer to his deceased friend, because this was said friends comfort place. Parker has just been brought back to life and is probably really confused and doesn’t know what to do, and is also probably having everything that happened to him coming back to his memory, and that’s a lot of shit to take in, so he decides to go to a place that really comforts him, that he can calm down and figure out what to do next at, and that’s under the pier. Now, not only is this just so deep and emotional and heart-wrenching and aaahhhhhhhh, but now imagine how these two must feel when they see each other under that pier right then. Parker’s probably feeling very lost, but going to his comfort spot and seeing a friend that has done no wrong to him was probably very relieving for him; very comforting and emotional (in a happy way), knowing that someone he loves and trusts is there just when he needs them. Jeremy is going to this spot to mourn his friend, and now it is this very spot that his friend is brought back to him. This spot was at first just a good comfort spot for the two, but now the spot probably has so much more meaning since they were miraculously brought back together after something so tragic and horrible had occurred. The line that Jeremy says (that in a way is foreshadowing what’s to come, btw) was just such a great anecdote that was placed in the show. It brings so much more depth to the characters and what happens with them later on (from the saying of the line to the meeting after the resurrection). It shows just how dedicated to this show these guys really are; enough to where they’re putting in little details that might not be noticeable to some people at first (I didn’t catch this the first time I watched, which is why I’m so blown away by it right now), but still bring so much more depth and meaning to the characters. It’s truly amazing.
