I have so many things to say about GoT S08E05

I’m like, going to talk about the major deaths that happened in this episode, and the main characters who unfortunately survived this mess

Varys

let’s be real, the fact that he was still alive in this season is already a miracle in itself

that said, I’m disappointed that Daenerys didn’t give him a proper trial like she would have if her character wasn’t inexistent in this season (but more on that later!)

Sandor

I did find fitting that he died while battling his bro

like he said, getting revenge was his entire life, and I honestly can’t imagine him having a life after his brother’s death

but also that was a bad death

not only speaking about him going down in fire, aka his trauma, because I’m a dumb turtle and my reflexion isn’t going that far, it’s only because I read some posts

no, because I wish we could have seen him victorious

I was ready to see him die, but after we saw his brother dead

a final victory, and Sandor letting go

we didn’t get the satisfaction of seeing Yara fucking kill him???

Cersei

am I supposed to feel bad for her??????

again, am I supposed to feel bad for her??????????? when she was the most villainous out of all of them, and you expect me to forget that by showing her crying that she doesn’t want her baby to die????????????????

honestly, I could understand him going back to Cersei because that’s his character, he’s loyal to a fault

BUT

he did have character development???

the only reason I could fully understand his decision to come back was him going back to give Cersei the death she deserves himself, as a final act of someone who loved her dearly enough to not want to see her going further down in a mad path

AND WE ONLY HAVE THEM DYING CRUSHED BY BRICKS WHILE HUGGING?????

you were a very good character, and you were dying this season but now you officially died

I’m honestly so sad about how she’s written, you have no idea

frankly speaking, the only likeness of “madness” we got from her were only directed to her enemies during the previous seasons

and now you try to sell me her going on a fire rampage against INNOCENTS

when she spent the past season DEFENDING INNOCENTS

it honestly make no sense

I’m hating this Mad Queen storyline because it’s so fucking badly written

it’s only coming off as a “women are too emotional to rule, hence why we need a male ruler”

the timing is so off

like she became mad just when we learned about Jon having more rights to the throne

it’s honestly just a retelling of the woman dying to propel the male hero

because let’s face it, Dany is probably going to get killed in the next episode

Jon

stop telling he would make a good ruler

this guy is a fucking wallflower since he came back from the dead

not once in his life he made a good decision as a ruler

“you would rule kindly” and that is the whole problem!!

Jon is too fucking kind and softhearted to make a good ruler, he’s not ready to make sacrifices

the fact that he’s all set up to inherit the fucking throne when Dany did all the job to take it back makes me puke blood

Arya

gdi let her catch a break

I’m disappointed we’re not seeing more of her training as an assassin

don’t get me wrong, I love the fact that we see her panicking and such

she’s still a child after all

but still

what was the point of all her character development so far??

apart from killing the Night King (which I also find it to be a bit of a... bad writing choice, even if it was fucking cool) she’s doing nothing but running around to escape

That’s it for me

I never intended to see this season as the true ending that will be in the books But now I’m not even going to consider this as the ending of the show

For me, this season of GoT is just fanfiction written by a cishet white male who needs to pump his ego by destroying characters except his self insert Jon Snow
