Boot-clad feet slammed onto the bar, dirt and blood and lumps of whatever poor bastard bit her nerves tonight falling (and, much to nobody’s delight, squishing) onto the wood while she leaned back in her chair --- before Minami sucked in a breath as if somebody had pinched her tight enough to tear. She glanced at Shigaraki, expression... Panicked? Fearful? 

No, it was... Sheepish. Like she’d suddenly remembered just who she was talking to, years of yakuza etiquette drilling itself into her marrow while her brain screamed about hierarchy and respect and admiration and fucking decay quirk. 

The wraith swiped the gore off the counter with a timid smile, touching the back of her neck nervously, almost apologetically, at Kurogiri before sitting properly in her stool. A part of her had been worried Tomura was the type to kick them out from under people, anyway, so this was probably for the best.

(Ah, ahh, fuck --- I can’t believe I was so fucking rude to him!! God fucking damn it!)

The unfortunate bride walked over towards the other side of the room, carefully picking up the book from the floor. Some of the pages were a little crooked now ー Great. She would be the one having to explain that to Reiji. 

“I didn’t mean any harm...I was just a little curious. You did not strike me as the type of person who would read a lot, so I just wanted to take a quick glance at what you were reading.” 

The cover of the book did not answer said question, with the title being written in a language she could not read. She had spotted Reiji reading books in French or other European languages as well. Perhaps it’s because they have lived for so long, but do all Vampires have such a vast knowledge?
