i also think there's a big difference between being a pacifist on an interpersonal level (which is what orihime is—and most people are) and being a pacifist on a systemic level (which i would argue that orihime isn't, considering her support of ichigo against soul society and again against the ritters). i don't think she can stomach violence, but she can definitely see it as necessary against an enemy force that won't bow down to other tactics
