Ok, but what if Frank WAS in contact with Karen during DD s03? 

What if there was a legit reason he couldn't be in New York (contradicting TPs02, but whatevs) and instead needs to accept that he can't physically always protect Karen, but he CAN walk her through strategy, calm her down, talk her down from any recklessness, make her come up with solid tactics, advise her, remind her to eat and clean her gun, teach her to always look for escape routes before entering any building, get her to be more mindful of her surroundings, teach her some interrogation tips and tricks, get her in contact with Micro and Madani...?
