what's your opinion on every ace attorney that you've played!
1 - the fuckin og. life changing when i first played it. 1-5 was grueling but i’ll never forget the hardships i endured to close that case
2 - not as memorable to me. it lacks a certain something when compared to its fellows but it’s still good. 2-4 blew all expectations away. i need to replay sometime
3 - what a game right. mia segments, the edgeworth segment, the fey clan storyline. i don’t remember the individual cases that well cuz it’s been so long but honestly the main story really fuckin hit.
4 - honestly so good. i’ve loved apollo and his supporting cast since i booted it up the first time. what an excellent story that was serious and dark and had a lot to chew on.
investigations - i never finished it and i need to. the supporting cast was fun and it was an interesting premise
5 - bad. sorry but it was bad. the individual cases were ok i guess but this game really nosedived the franchise by undoing everything 4 did for the story and world not to mention the severe character changes apollo went through, the overcrowded main storyline, and phoenix being pushed back into the main character role against the series creator’s wishes and in direct opposition to what 4 set up.
tgaa1 - currently crawling through case 4. excellent game. the way it subverts nearly every expectation long time fans like me have for an ace attorney game is astounding frankly. also very good motion captured animations. i’ll always love the original trilogy + 4 sprite work (and lament their deaths in HD ports) but the world really comes to life in tgaa thanks to the mocap work. leagues better than the animation in 5+6. anyway like i said i’m currently going through it and my only real complaint is the absolutely glacial pace the game progresses at but all things considered it could be worse. i’m just happy to play a good aa game again i honestly though i’d never get to feel like this again
