for the native spanish speakers, is the word m*rim*cha reclaimed? or is it just a slur? i have heard it used several times, but i wasn't sure if it was like dyke where queer people use it to describe themselves or whether it's just used as an insult.
and is it used primarily by people in/from mexico, or is it common across other countries as well?
and for people who speak other languages, are the slurs typically reclaimed, or are they avoided? does it depend on the word?
sorry to ask so bluntly, but google has not been helpful, and i'm just trying to understand more how languages work around marginalized identities, particularly queer/trans ones.
