no ok one last post but lucan kinda popped off with the pompey&sons fated to die in the three continents pompey triumphed over thing because not only does it give those deaths a very cool generational curse sort of vibe, they also died literally "according to [their] triumphs" aka the pompey triumphs each would have first appeared in (pompey alone for africa in 79bc, gnaeus for spain in 71bc, sextus for asia in 61bc).
