Oh gosh dear anon! Let me see here... I'm assuming when you say "kid" you mean 12 years old and under, so that's what I'm gonna base my answers off of XD also! This is most definitely from memory lol

MOVIES

Spirit: Stallion of the Cimarron

So growing up I was a horse girl and watched a lot of horse movies/books, but my all time favorite was Spirit. I was told I watched this movie every single day while sippin on my juice XD Even today, I still ADORE this film, but now I enjoy it while knowing the context. It's actually a great Dreamworks film and WHY DON'T MORE PEOPLE TALK ABOUT IT 😭😭

Gumby

I have very vivid memories of certain scenes of this movie... I guess I liked it enough to remember it lol

The Transformers: The Movie (1986)

OMG THIS MOVIE!! I remember watching it on VHS because my dad had it and I remember loving it as a kid. I actually wanna watch it again for the cringe, but it would be a nostalgic kind of cringe 😂

Jurassic Park

Don't have much to say about this movie other than that I love dinosaurs and this film still holds up today. It's great :))

TV SHOWS

Honestly, TV shows get a little more... Muddled? In my head haha. I watched a ton of superhero shows though, which include:

Teen Titans

Ngl my first crush was Robin from this show 😭😭

X-Men (The Animated Series) and X-Men: Evolution

Lol I remember going to the library with my dad and checking out the DVDs for these series. THE INTRO FOR EVOLUTION IS STILL EPIC ✌✌

Batman: The Animated Series

Still a great show!! Another one we checked out from the library :)) (ALSO, Batman Beyond is my favorite Batman show it's so good lol)

The Spectacular Spider-Man

I WISH THEY KEPT GOING WITH THIS SHOW DUDE it was one of the best Spider-Man shows ever aired and the intro is SO GOOD THO IT'S SUCH A BOP

BOOKS

Again, this area gets a little muddled, but I read SO much in elementary and middle school, it's hard to recall what I've read XD but! Here's what I do remember:

Maximum Ride series by James Patterson

This was one of the bigger series that I was into. It was a great series too!! I even got my sister into them, and she hates reading lol. By the time the last book came out, I didn't have much of an interest in the series anymore, but Max ended up with Fang in the end and that's all that matters :)))

Holes by Louis Sachar

This one is a classic!!! Love this story and the movie adaptation. Although the story of Kissin' Kate Barlow will always hurt me 😭😭

Rainbow Magic Fairy series by Daisy Meadow

Okay, honestly, I only read these books because I was running out of material to read in our small school library and these were everywhere. So I went with it. Not the greatest books, but I do remember them and they made decent reads when I was bored haha.

The Story About Ping by Marjorie Flack

This is legit my favorite children's book. I really don't know why, I've just always loved it, the art and the story, and maybe because it took place within Asian culture and I appreciated that ^^
