i should go to sleep but my cat is lying at the end of my bed purring because she loves spending time near me and i want to be awake for this moment

#also bc whenever i go to bed with the cat still in my room i always end up with her waking me up at 4am to let her out #but mostly im just emotional bc awww today has been the most social she's been lately??? #like she really wasn't that social as a kitten (she never disliked people per se she just never wanted to stay in one place too long) #but then over the past few years she's gotten to a point where she likes being held sometimes and i can play with her to build that bond et #but today especially. every time i opened my bedroom door after having it closed for a while she would be sitting right outside it #like she was waiting for me #and one time i even heard her pawing at the door so i let her in and she followed me around as i reorganized my closet #getting a cat to love you is such an accomplishment. like it might be difficult at times but it's so rewarding #also side note i hope rusty and dusty had a good day today. rusty and dusty are scott's cats #i got to meet them last time i was in toronto and they're so cute. scott and i had a genuine bonding moment over how much we both love cats #also!!! i hope early had a good day too. ''early'' is the name of paul bellini's cat and i think it's the best cat name i've ever heard #the story behind it is paul was trying to get his partner to choose a name for the cat after several weeks #and his partner replied ''i can't! it's too early!'' #so they decided to just call the cat early for the next decade lmao
