late new years resolution for me: stop comparing yourself to other artists and feeling insecure, double down harder on making the stuff you wanna make, also open commissions

#im out here like nooooo everyone else is also good at the things im good at -crying cat face- #when instead i should be fully enjoying cool art made by other people and also making my own art without having to feel special for doing so #its okay to not be special... also i dont even want a lot of attention so its actually GREAT to not be Uniquely Talented #i dont think i truly believe i am ever; but its one of those like. you know; those ideas your brain gets #like Ooohh what if im actually uniquely good at this #and then you accidentally tuck that away somewhere unthinkingly until someone else does the same thing better #and the brain egg you didnt know was there from months ago suddenly explodes all over the mind fridge #i need a text post tag #context: realized lots of people are better sculptors than me and got discouraged
