Jen, did you go to the Bowl show?! Would love to hear your take on the vibe and fan mix - obversherly nothing about the whole [redacted] situation that I saw more than enough about elsewhere.

I’ve never seen LT solo but I’m taking a friend to who only knows about him in the context of Larry (which she randomly brought up to me during the dark days of the pandemic and I was like noooo irls can’t know my conspiracy theory spirals!!!). Mine is one of the larger capacity US venues.

I *did* go to the Bowl show, and I had a blast! I was there with my best friend, and we stayed in a hotel right next door, so we were able to have some drinks and just soak it in without the usual post-show blitz down the 101. I also got to see Gillian, my beloved! I feel like you'll have a similar experience (my friend isn't in the fandom), and if you're in a larger capacity venue, maybe you'll see fandom people you know? At any rate, I wanna hear what goes on! Herewith, some random takes:

Fans were a mix of young (with parents) and old, more than a handful of loud larrs, but mostly solo red/black vs. blue/green (no rancid vibes, but jesus CHRIST, I'm so done with barking).

Lots of random Harry merch (my fave was a dad wearing a custom "HARRY AND LOUIS STOLE ALL MY MONEY" shirt)

Louis read (to me!) as tired, and he even said at the end that he was knackered--his general mode seemed pretty low-key, not a lot of patter (gave me old AMs vibes, when they fucking HATED the LA crowds and just played as fast as possible to be done with it vs. what it was like to see them in SF or SD).

FOR REAL that second album was solely created for people to shout-sing at a show, and shout-sing at a show they did!

No fireworks at the end. :(

It felt like they (Louis?) needed to constantly fix those in-ears? Lotsssss of fiddling, and a dropped note or two because of it, but he still sounded really good overall.

Bummer for Freddie to be in the crowd vs. backstage (and seemingly not in a garden spot but in the tiers??).

I call bullshit on anyone saying bUt ThE vEnUe DoEsN't AlLoW sIgNs??? People near me definitely had some, and I was like, my love, we are in section J2, I cannot read your sign, he sure as hell can't, let it gooooo. Plus, the amount of shit people can bring into the Bowl, like, if they didn't stop the guy behind us with the heroin kit, they're not gonna worry about someone's "end it" poster or whatever. Then again, some of those same people who weren't there kept saying he was wearing black and yellow, so, lmao.

I wish he would do more covers! 505 was ethereal, his One D selections (intriguing!!) were perfectly done, and he even covered himSELF in a creative, cool way...let's hear more! I don't need to hear [five or so songs redacted] ever again! Let's goooo!
