Thank youuuu ~ !! So excited to get started on the options people chose to celebrate with! I can relate to this; I might WANT to say no sometimes but what comes out is yes. This blurb is inspired by a system that I once had with someone who is no longer in my life.

“Hey, Y/N, do you wanna help me with - “

“Yeah.”

Bo's dark eyebrows raised at you, surprise and irritation flashing across his gorgeous face. “You don't even know what I was gonna say, darlin'.”

You shrugged, your forehead beginning to grow hot from the inside. “I know, but I - “ Shit, shit, shit, this is ALWAYS what happens. You say yes when you actually want to say no and it's put you into situations you don't want to be in SO many times and yet you never LEARNED, did you? You always just -

Bo saw all of this in your body language, in your eyes, and he stepped forward, his hands landing on your shoulders. “Easy, darlin', easy. S'okay, wasn't askin' for anythin' serious. Was jus' gonna ask if y'wanted to go wit' me into town. Need a hand carryin' stuff in.”

You nodded. “Sure, I'll help!”

The reply was instantaneous, genuine. You DID want to help.

Bo's eyebrows raised again. “Ah, ah, darlin'. Stop'n think about it, yeah? Ain't gotta say yes if y'wanna say no. I'on want that f'you. Seen what it does t'ya' an' I ain't havin' it.”

You paused, your eyes roaming over Bo's face. He was tragic, beautiful, your comfort and your safe haven, the love of your life. “Yeah, I mean it. I want to help you, Bo.”

Now, it was Bo's turn to watch you, and whatever he found on your face satisfied him, for he smiled, his fingers flexing around your shoulders. “Well, all right, then. C'mon, darlin', we ain't got all day.”

I put word out a few days ago about what this blog could do to celebrate reaching 1k; either I could empty my drafts and inbox, or I could go ahead with my own idea. I kept it vague to pique intrigue and @seidenbros gave me the blessing to go ahead with this after a discussion about the logistics.

So, here's how I want to celebrate!💕

Send me an ask between 2 and 5 sentences long about yourself, and I'll respond by writing a little about what your relationship with Eddie would be like. (This might be a paragraph or just a few sentences, it depends both on my motivation levels and how many sentences you submit. To make this fair, I will be setting a timer for ten minutes when I respond to your ask.)

Please tell me somewhere in the ask that this is for the 1k celebration.

Rules

I am not in the posting mood but I feel like this is too precious not to share. In this episode Shige met with a certain “former celebrity” who is now poor. First he went to her apartment and found it incredibly messy and dirty but with some very expensive items such as Birkin bags and Cartier jewelry. He finally met the 32- yo Erika and she told her story. She said she made about $400k at two points in her life. Basically, she was a bar owner and a hostess. But she somehow did not make any savings and got swindled out of her money so she was now living in this apartment on the ~$1k her parents sent her. She also has an Instagram where she puts pretentious photos of herself and what’s left of her expensive stuff, some extremely vulgar. The reason her apartment was so dirty is because she used to have a maid do all the cleaning and cooking and washing. Frankly, I could not find any sympathy for the woman. But Shige could. He gave a little speech that even though it’s hard the lies just keep piling up and she should try find the courage to become more honest. He said “When you accept your real self, don’t you become beautiful?” Apparently, she was ready to change and so she went and changed into plain clothes and took a selfie like this. Shige said she looked very lovely and the glasses suited her. He then said he supported her. What an A+ human being. T_T

Aaaaa, we did itttttt ~ !!!!! 💜💜💜💜💜

It's been... a wild ride since I started this blog 21/9/2021, huh? I was starting the second year of my degree at the same time as starting a new job and it was... A Time Of My Life, for sure. But now look! There's 1k of you and that's just phenomenal.

So many of you have been nothing but lovely; sending in asks or encouragement, support, advice, love, making me drop my uwus so many times there's almost no point in picking them up because just as soon as I do, one of you makes me drop them again.

Writing for the Sinclairs is always a blast as well, and I adore delving into their psyches and working them out. My characterisation isn't always perfect but most of what I write is well received, the friendships I've made are gonna be long lasting, and all of this accounts to so much of my happiness and sense of peace.

The Sinclairs have made me bolder, braver, and though Vincent is the one I fell in love with first, I love and cherish each of the brothers equally. You can't have one without the other two, at least in my opinion (which may not be yours and that's okay), and I wouldn't want them like that, anyway. For me, the Sinclairs are the Sinclairs because they've spent their lives together and none of them would be alive without the other two to make it that way. It's horrific, tragic, grotesque, and they're objectively fucking terrible people, but we love them and that's really important.

So, as a thank you to all of you, old-time followers and new followers and people who might hit follow because of this post, I have devised a combination of ways to celebrate this milestone.

I’m pretty shy around new people but if I’m near people I’m familiar with then I’m more open (still quiet of course) I have scarring on my legs from past injuries that I’m insecure about so I always wear long socks. Vincent adores spending time with you in his basement; he sculpts or draws or paints while you draw and write. He'd be very curious about what you write about, especially because you write horror stories (he wonders how much inspiration you take from him and his brothers, though he knows better than to ask you). He wouldn't push you to share anything if you didn't want to but he'd open up to you by showing you his art mediums and hope that you'll do the same with him. Art is definitely a bonding activity for the both of you. Both of you are shy around new people – Vincent is practically an ice wall – so the two of you slowly, slowly, develop into friends and then romantic partners, if you want to be. Both of you are also insecure about your individual scars and again, you open up together slowly. Vincent finds you beautiful, a true work of living art, and you think the same of him. You're inseparable within six monrhs.

I think sometimes the would-be effects of a horror scene are lost on me because I mute it if the music is 'too' tense. It aggravates my ears at certain pitches or it irritates me personally because it takes too long to reach a crescendo (looking at you, Insidious opening theme tune).

Small habits I have (sharing as part of 1k celebration)

On my days off, I come downstairs for coffee and a snack and then go back upstairs to drink and eat slowly, wake up, come into myself. Watch the news, catch up on the world, write my to do list for the day. Do not look at me when I come downstairs that first time. Do not talk to me. Just let me get my coffee and a snack and be on my way. When I come down an hour later to refill my coffee mug and discard my plate, you can now interact with me. I am human, I am awake. I am Erika. (This is a boundary I have; I can and will get snippy if you try and talk to me before I'm ready to face the day.) [Would looooove seeing the Sinclairs reacting to this one, especially Bo😂]

Brushing and braiding my hair is the first and last thing I do every day. Yawning at every stroke and barely awake or swaying at the sink because I'm so tired, I WILL do my hair care. It's my grounding self care activity; a way to greet my body after a long day or wake it up from a heavy night of sleep. I never skip it, no matter what. Even if I gotta do it with my eyes closed to ward off the sting of just waking up or being on the edge of sleep, I'm gonna do it. No one's gonna stop me. I may ask for help if I really can't be bothered to do it, but I prefer to do it myself. I brush and braid it a certain way and I'm very particular about the overall routine so if you don't know it the way I do, I'm not very likely to ask you for help. My hair is my favourite body part, unironically, and I'm very protective of it. Overly so, and I'll freely admit it.

I make Happy Noises - Ash Williams, coffee, the Sinclairs, Arthur Fleck... if it makes me happy, I'm gonna make a noise about it and I won't apologise for it, either. @bisexual-horror-fan has been with me on voice call so many times now that she's heard them all🥺💖 (I felt so guilty that first time we watched HOW together😂💀).

I can't think of any others but today I'm focusing on the 1k asks I have; it's still open until the 18th!💖
