my desert only run of minecraft is going well. I managed to get trees before going to the nether but I did not get any sheep until after I put mending on all my stuff so the tech tree is still getting filled out in a really weird order, as is fitting for a desert only run

#now that you can get moss and grow trees from the bushes wood isn't so bad #before you could do that actually getting wood was a huge fucking pain #had to get ingots in a chest at a ruined nether portal to make a pickaxe to mine stone to make stone tools #unless you got super lucky and a tree spawned on the grass in the one village building with grass #or a wandering trader had saplings at the same time as you had emeralds #if you didn't get trees that way you had to get wood from the fungus in the nether #except that can't make boats or charcoal so it isn't as good #next time I might try a red desert run
