I'm like so livid sitting here in my digital photo class bc of the stuff my professor keeps talking about with like. Editing people to make them more "flattering" (editing out like moles/freckles/acne/wrinkles/etc and making people thinner and etc)

#💭 #stfu!!! stfu!!!!!! #he talked apt it a few classes ago too and god I wish I remembered his horrible phrasing #he said something about like 'i'll literally edit a muffin top off of someone who's like 100 pounds' #and that he does it for his clients' photos without them asking him to and without telling them! #and he's like 'they won't even know' and talked about how one time he showed someone the before/after and she cried #and like. ok she probably wouldn't have cried if you showed her the unedited one and didn't edit it!!!! #people do feel self conscious i know but they shouldn't have to and perpetuating this kind of thing #is like #WHAT CAUSES IT #if they as your client ask you to then whatever but #god if i paid a photographer and they made me skinny there would be bloodshed #SORRY I'M PISSED!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! #HUMANS HAVE FAT AND HAIR AND FRECKLES AND MOLES AND STRETCH MARKS AND SCARS AND WRINKLES AND PORES AND AAAAUUUUUUUGH
