Sooooo has anyone else
1, done a Herbalife shake diet? With what results?
2, gotten a scan like this?
They asked for height and weight, then put me on some device that looks like a scale, and supposedly sends signals thru your body, to measure fat and etc.
They say that my body fat percentage is 40. The lady got a bit fuzzy here, saying that this forty percent (meaning, thirty six! kilograms) of fat does not include the intravisceral fat (which sounds like bullshit, i just hope i misunderstood her).
Then we found out that 57 percent of my body is muscle - this means fifty one kilograms of it. They say it's meh, but if i were my goal weight, with this much muscle, i wouldn't have organs, bones or fat left.
But now it gets interesting. See, 97 percent of my body is fat or muscle (apparently) and that leaves 3 percent of the weight for bones and organs.
I highly believe this to be bullshit. 87 kilograms of my 89/90 body cannot be only fat and muscle, i think a skeleton is about 10 kgs. And i also have organs - do those count as muscle? Still, all my bones cannot only weigh 3 kg.
Then we get to bone mineralization - i have to research that, no idea what it is. Also, apparently there is a scale for intravisceral fat, from 1 until...the end of time? I got a 7 on it, and while the lady kept telling me that the normal values are bwn 1 and 4, on the graph the device had, 7 was still well at the beginning of a green zone.
Then she said that my 57 percent muscle mass is very low. Well, yes, if i wanted a healthy percentage at 90, i should raise it a bit, so that i still get to around 20 percent body fat.
But lastly, we also have bmi. Which has been regarded as problematic - and would still consider me obese by weight even if i was 90 kgs with 20 percent body fat.
Also, apparently my body is 37 years old (while chronologically im in my early twenties) and should be 15 years younger than my chronological age (?! I should have the body of a child? I'd be glad to have the metabolism of one).
So now i'm on a ten day trial (it cost me quite a bit) and i was thinking that i could log it. They say i'd have more energy, be less Hungry etc.
Parameters will be: am i hungry within 4 hours of eating their miracle breakfast (then, a 10 day control period with am i hungry after my "stupid" one), do i feel like i have more energy (i will, considering that i accomplish things early in the day, that will be harder to follow up), how do i perform at Krav (3 parameters, max 10 points. Comparing to monday 8, wednesday 6, friday 8) and how do i sleep (hours, do i wake up, what kind of dreams, do i nap mid-day).
But. Honestly, i believe they lace their shakes w something (antidepressants were popular at a time, or maybe just caffeine), b/c i've been hyperactive today
