Was just reading about this production of Gounod Faust and while it otherwise sounds pretty cool, I have decided I very much hate it when productions add a Rosemary's Baby element to the whole doomed-illegitimate-baby plot. Although this one had a less offensive approach to the matter than the Paris production with the same singers playing Faust and Mephistopheles, I guess.

(It was a demon baby in that one, I guess because it would be really hard to make that aspect of the plot work in 21st century Europe, but still *grinds teeth*)
