season 2 is like...the euphoria of the peak zikki era vs the utter despair of the charlotte era

#like I just rewatched 2x11 #the zikki was so good but then there was charlotte turning off Lewis's phone to try to keep him from the girls #also not tagging this bc im aware there are charlotte defenders on this webbed site and I am not looking for disk horse #like I don't hate charlotte or think she's irredeemably evil #she's sixteen and insecure and she'll grow and be better #but that doesn't mean I don't find a lot of her scenes painful to watch #also her relationship with Lewis is so toxic and bad #in this ep in addition to turning off his phone there's this weird vibe #where in her mind they are bf/gf but he's just so clearly not on board with that yet ('we're just...companions') #and in her defense he's too passive to really make that clear to her and that's on him 100% #so the toxicity isn't entirely her fault #but it's still...uncomfortable to watch imo
