one thing I've noticed over the years is that oftentimes many of the best, most interesting, and memorable english language fics are the ones written by non-native speakers

#i first noticed this in like 2015 #like. obv fics by native speakers are still v good but there's something that they just frequently lack #they're less adventurous in story structure and topic i think #and the writing itself from non-native speakers is more engaging--idk how to fully explain it
