i really Want to like Stardew Valley

like yeah i prefer the farming games that have more fantasy element stuff with more fighting or whatnot. but i've still played a couple of SoS games and liked them too, and the game has a lot of mods that seem like they would be fun to play around with

but. tbh the game is kinda soured for me by the fact that there's no nonbinary/other protag option. there's no gender restrictions to the relationship elements right? soooo....??? i get that it's an indie game so less resources for development or whatever but like. there's so so many indie games that have been able to include an nb option. if someone has made a complete mod for it, there's no reason the dev, who has done many many updates to the game, couldn't also implement it??

it's just that sooooo often i see Stardew Valley as the top of the list of 'yeah!! queer indie games!!!' and yet. what i am isn't there! interesting. :)

#i knooow i probably sound like an entitled asshole. but i don't care atm #also ignoring the fact that i always use a certain OC games like this and that oc doesn't use they/them lol #but yeah the mod existing isn't good enough because. you can only use that on a pc. and also it should be in the base game too anyway #no idea why this hit my brain at 10am randomly but here's some words #*new creative post tag here*
