i don't think there's any canon evidence for silver knowing about shadow's past in any significant detail and shadow isn't someone who would open up about something personal like that (unless we're talking about his close friends who already have the context and the broad strokes) and it got me thinking. not that silver deliberately travels back to ARK's glory days to figure that out. but rather some other circumstances lead him there, and allow him to meet this little odd but overall kind girl named maria who's living there for medical reasons, and she helps him with whatever he traveled there to do, and he learns about her over the course of his brief stay, and hears that there's been some kind of breakthrough in the development for the cure for her illness. perhaps he's there to gather information about GUN's involvement in an event that's yet to happen, discovering that they're somehow linked in this cure - but whoever asked him to time travel to this point didn't need details on that, they already knew about it. perhaps he feels compelled to warn maria before his departure, that eventually, at some point, a raid is going to happen, in the hopes that her name will be found among the list of survivors. perhaps out of curiosity he gets his hands on that list after traveling back, only to find her missing
